Pleased to report that both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando suffered very minimal damage and both will reopen their theme parks and resorts tomorrow October 11!

The weather for the next 10 days looks absolutely beautiful for the Fall Break vacations that are beginning to kick off!

Walt Disney World has officially announced park closures due to Hurricane Milton this week :

On Wednesday October 9 Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will close at 1pm. Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney Springs will close at 2pm.

Theme parks likely to remain closed on Thursday October 10. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on Thursday is canceled.

We hope everyone stays safe during this powerful storm.

Happy National Coffee Day!

Did you know, on your cruise you can order a pot of coffee at night before bed and it will still be steaming hot in the morning?

We did this on the Disney Wish and had hot coffee on the balcony each morning!

We have made it on board the beautiful Carnival Firenze! This Italian themed ship is the newest Carnival cruise ship and sails out of Long Beach, CA.

We started our day with Mickey churro waffles and ended the night with churros at 1923.

Did you know that you can get Mickey churro waffles on sea day from the buffet? They offer syrup, strawberry compote and whipped cream as toppings. They are a definite must do!

🏝️ We enjoyed Nassau yesterday and Castaway Cay today. We had a few sprinkles this morning but after that the weather was amazing! Tonight was Pirate’s Night complete with fireworks we watched from our balcony! 🎆

Last night, we visited Sandals Montego Bay for dinner. It’s a quick 5 minute shuttle ride. When you stay at one resort, you can use the amenities at the other resort. We had appetizers at Soy and dinner at Tokyo Joe’s. At Tokyo Joe’s, you get to pick your veggies, protein and rice/noodles and watch the chef cook it. So yummy!

Good night for Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Who wants to see this from their room each night while on vacation?

There’s something for everyone at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights! One of our owners (a self-proclaimed scaredy cat) recently had the opportunity to experience Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights. He anticipated that he would just have to grin and bare his way through the night, but he ended up loving it and has said he will be making plans to attend every year! All 10 houses are exquisitely themed and feel like stepping onto the set of a movie. While you can definitely enjoy a good jump scare while going through the houses, you will also experience a lot of fun and laughs! Not to mention the food which is as delicious as it is creepy! My advice is to gather up a group of friends and head on over to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights for a semi-scary good time! We think you’ll leave ready to return each Halloween season!
