It’s nice to see my watch’s fitness suggestion for the day as we make our way to San Juan. We have no planned excursions since our group has always enjoyed simply wandering around the city on our own.

It’s turned into a lovely sea day aboard Scarlet Lady. Today has been all about balance in every sense of the word. (The day started on the windy side, so our physical balance was tried and tested.) We had a healthy breakfast at Razzle Dazzle and then moved on to “Rice, Rice Baby,” a sushi making class. We’ve played two trivia games and then I attended a lower-body HIIT class. Now it’s time to put some work into my work/life balance, but first, I allowed my tired legs to recover a bit in our hammock swing. A girl could get used to this!

My favorite way to travel to PortMiami after a fun day at Walt Disney World Resort is definitely Brightline. I remember making the drive several times, and it was always very stressful. (Especially the two times I was trying to wrap up urgent phone calls while my friend drove and we lost signal going through a tunnel!) This is much more civilized and productive.

Stay tuned to experience Virgin Voyages with me. Scarlet Lady recently went through a dry dock, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what’s new!

Now that I’ve been back in RealityLand for almost a week, I really, *really* miss our stateroom host who kept everything shipshape and our dining room service team who knew how to work hard and play harder. Their salaries are gratuity-based, and they definitely earn every penny!

Speaking of gratuities, Disney Cruise Line just announced an increase that will take effect on all sailings from tomorrow on. The new recommended total is $16 per person per day for non-Concierge Guests and $27.25 per person per day for Concierge Guests.

If you have already prepaid your gratuities, you will not be required to pay the increased amount. But if you are inclined to pay a little extra, the tipped crew members will certainly appreciate it. You can give supplimental cash in designated envelopes for specific servers and hosts or you can have your shipboard folio updated to reflect an increase for those you’d like to recognize.

I was delighted that two of my favorite festival foods were back for the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! I had a Sushi Donut in Japan and then walked to the front of the park to earn my dessert: Deconstructed Key Lime Pie.
