the years, I watched the Wonderful World of Disney® on television, viewed countless Disney® movies at the theater and in my home, and visited the parks with my family, and I even attended Grad Nite, as a senior in high school, at the Magic Kingdom! I've watched Walt Disney World® expand to add EPCOT, Disney-MGM Studios (then Disney's Hollywood Studios), and Animal Kingdom plus more. Witnessing the changes over time brings back so many heartfelt memories. Having lived in Florida for 17 year, it made sense to purchase annual resident passes so that I could spend more time in my happy place. That's when trips up to Orlando from South Florida to see Mickey and Friends exploded. We would stay in hotels on property for the FULLY immersive experience. From the value resorts to the deluxe ones and everything in between, I've been fortunate to stay there on numerous occasions. Being part of it all while staying onsite is what makes everything so magical! When I "grew up" and became a mom, I introduced my son to Disney®. From the time when he was taking his first steps, he too became a fan. For a first birthday celebration, he excitedly would call out, "Pooh!" Some of those beginner steps were heading straight into Mickey's open arms. When he grew up, and I asked him about a high school graduation gift, I told him to pick what he wanted. He chose to stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort with a theme park view room, time at EPCOT including a reservation to his favorite, Le Cellier, and a Backstage Magic Tour. This time was so precious to me, and we shared it in the place that we had both grown to love through the years. Not only did we get to celebrate his graduation with quality one-on-one time together, we got to be together at a time when big changes were surrounding both of us: I was getting remarried a week later, and he was heading off to college that Fall. Time passes and new experiences are what I crave (quality time is my love language - although Disney® would be my love language if there was such a thing). Since those milestone events, I've sailed on all of the ships in Disney Cruise Line's fleet, I've gone to the Disneyland Resort where I fell in love with Walt's first park, we've stayed at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawai'i, and we've gone on a few Adventures by Disney getaways (South Africa and the British Isles were AMAZING, and we have more coming up, too). Whenever I go to the parks, I always try new experiences to ensure I'm helping our clients make the most of their time creating memories with their families.

Today, I got to experience, for the third time, a visit to Walt Disney's apartment above the firehouse.

Why would I go again?

The tour has changed, and for the first time, I was able to enjoy a sweet treat and beverage on the patio connected to the apartment. This has not been an option in the past.

Do you have any spare luggage/suitcases/duffle bags in new or like new (gently used) condition? Maybe you purchased a new set recently and have been meaning to find a new home for your previously used ones? Or perhaps you're like me and picked up an extra bag on your last vacation (you don't want to know how often this happens)?

Whatever the case, Travel Advisors of Northwest Arkansas - TANWA is hosting the 3rd Annual Luggage Drive benefitting Arkansas Children's Shelter where all donated bags will be provided to children transitioning to foster homes.

Did you know that as kids head back to school, this is frequently the time of year when foster care placements are higher? This is because mandated reporters bring awareness to neglectful and abusive situations when they learn about them when students are attending school (or not attending school) regularly.

By providing such a simple act of kindness in participating and/or sharing this local NWA event, you can help make a difference. Thank you for showing support and letting these children see that members of their communities care!

No child should have to carry his/her belongings in a trash bag. The changes are hard enough as is. Providing them with luggage, suitcases, or duffle bags to contain their personal belongings shows them that someone was thinking of them. It can help them feel valued, dignified, and it can even provide them with hope for their future when there is surely so much uncertainty swirling around them at that time.

This year, our agency is grateful to partner with The Botanical at 8th & A in Bentonville (and we were thrilled to see how supportive they already are of the children's shelter). You can also drop off at other locations conveniently found in our area through August 19.

📢 Disney Heroes and Villains fans, assemble!! 📢

Back in 2010, Disney premiered a Broadway show onboard Disney Cruise Line called "Villains Tonight!" and in 2018 the final show performance took stage. Or did it? 🎭

Today, Disney announced its newest ship to the fleet (Wish class), Disney Destiny!!! ✨

It seems the forces of good vs evil will take place as the theme shared involves Disney Heroes and Villains!! 😍

Those who guessed probably already knew, I'm at Walt Disney World!!

While I have been visiting for more times than I can count, I'm excited to share that this visit is unique and one I've never experienced before!!

Disney invited me to attend a Disney Agent Education Program (AEP) event as a Rising Star!! 🌟

This is a hosted trip and one that I get to enjoy learning (as a former educator, I miss that) and exploring new things. Last night, I stayed in a cabin at Fort Wilderness, and I am excited for them to refurbish cabins starting this year. Something I've never done before is go to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical R***e, and I can recommend it for anyone looking for a fun experience away from the parks!! The food was fantastic, and the show was phenomenal. I told my husband that I'd love to go back and see it with him one day. Highly recommend!!

Today, I used a Minnie Van for the first time, and I gathered information to share with our clients who may wish to use this service. It was quick and reliable, and it will be a great option for those who are looking for alternate ways to get from place to place while staying onsite.

That leads me to where I will be staying for the next three nights, and this is another new-to-me experience at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa!!!

This resort is a Victoria themed five-star location, and it's one of the three monorail locations you can stay at while on property. It's a quick ride over to the Magic Kingdom, but using the boats is another option. I can't wait to share more about my stay while here, so I hope you'll follow along!!

Besides visiting multiple countries while not needing to unpack, repack, and unpack (sleeping in the same stateroom nightly definitely has its perks), one of the coolest things about cruising is the amount of food available to you. EVERYONE will find favorites onboard!!

Something UNIQUE about Virgin Voyages is that you won't find any buffet onboard! Buffets are not my favorite, and I'll avoid them when I can, but the reasoning behind Virgin Voyages decision is due to their extensive conservation efforts. 🧑‍🍳🌮🍔🍕🍜🍱🍦🥞🥑🥐🥗🍓🥪

At Virgin Voyages, they care about our planet and especially our oceans!! 🚢🌎🌊

Yesterday was embarkation day, and I set sail from Miami on Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady!! 🚢🎉

When I travel, I always like to try new things, and this is definitely a new experience and one that ADULTS will love!! Why?!? It's an ADULTS-ONLY (18+) experience!!!

The sailing that I'm on to check it all out is a 4-nighter with one day at sea, a stop at Key West, and another stop at The Beach Club at Bimini in the Bahamas.

I added on the Splash of Romance (totally feel silly with my hubby not with me) package for $200 and right from the beginning, that value paid off because upon arriving at the port (every member must arrive at their designated time), I had immediate access to entering (zero waiting)!! Whether it's couples, friends, a girls' getaway, family members, or strangers who will soon become friends, there's something for everyone, and so much is included!! Virgin Voyages does things differently, too, in that they do so much to protect the environment like not having buffets so that there is a lot of waste, and all food at restaurants isn't mass produced but instead it's prepared fresh to order when you've decided what you want, or they have certain stateroom additions to conserve energy.

It really made me smile that they do their best to include others, and while I got the Splash of Romance package letter, I also got the solo traveler letter, too!! There's nothing wrong with a little self love, right? To me, they are making an effort to help single people meet others while onboard!! Could this lead to new friendships or potentially meeting a new romantic partner? Who knows, but it's a really nice thing to see!! No fear in traveling solo on this cruise line!! 🥰

I selected to eat at Extra Virgin (although, I keep calling it The Olive Oil)! 😂

The food was great, and I did order some extra appetizers to try. This way, I can provide feedback on what I loved. That said, everyone's tastes are different, so I take my own advice and share with clients to take input with a grain of salt. What I may love, someone else may hate, and vice versa!

I'll be sharing details along the voyage, but my access to Wi-Fi is limited, so if you do reach out, it may have to wait until I return!! For those who know me, this is HARD for me to do!!

Even though I was born and raised in New York, Disney® has been a BIG part of my life since 1975. My first experience in Walt Disney World® was that year, and I was only two years old. Believe it or not, I still remember loving on my stuffed Dumbo and getting a Tinkerbell figurine. Maybe I hoped that I if I brought her back home to Long Island, she'd share some of her magical pixie dust?!? So began my love of all things Disney®.
