🚨WEATHER TIP: 🚨

If you have an iPhone 14 or later, you can now text by satellite if there is no cellular service. You need to be on iOS 18, which was released last week. Go to Settings and request the update now while you still have service or WiFi.

Once updated on an iPhone 14 or later, you can use Messages via satellite to send and receive messages without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.

To use this feature (when you have no service only):
Open the Messages app
Tap Use Messages via Satellite when prompted
Follow the instructions to connect to a satellite
Enter your message and tap to send

Is Safari on your radar? Here are the top things to consider:

➡️ Start planning 12-16 months in advance. Most safari lodges are small and intimate so if you have a very specific one in mind, planning in advance will get you what you want. There are lots of places to “safari” so planning your adventure can also be flexible.

➡️ Be choosey with your dates. I work with my clients around the rainy seasons and weather patterns to pick the perfect time to go.

➡️ Narrow down your region. Would you prefer East Africa, Southern Africa, and South Africa? Narrowing down the area makes it so much easier to move forward in the process of picking the best country, lodges, etc.

There’s truly nothing worse than having a trip de-railed by a bad hotel experience.

So how do I do my best to make sure clients are satisfied with the places they stay?

1️⃣ I get to know what your travel preferences are, what you like, what’s your top priority are when you travel, etc.

2️⃣ I take note of the resorts you’ve loved in the past and the resorts you haven’t loved so much — this gives me a great place to start.

3️⃣ I stay up-to-date on the new resort and hotel openings across [the Caribbean/Mexico/Europe]I and I’m constantly taking notes when properties open that are a great fit for specific clients. When they’re ready to travel, I already have a list started.
