Traveling with siblings has so many wonderful benefits. Not only is it an excellent time for your children to bond, but you also have a built-in babysitter - sort of. Siblings tend to keep each other entertained, which means that you don't have to worry about always keeping your children occupied. This means that you might get a chance to finally read a book on the beach while your children build a sandcastle at your feet!

Not all destinations are kid-friendly, so when planning a family vacation with young ones, it's essential to pick the right location. If you have really little children, you'll want to stay away from anything that's going to be physically strenuous. You might also want to save iconic places like the Roman Colosseum when they are old enough to appreciate them. Instead, opt for an all-inclusive family resort or drive through a national park!

Jamaican national hero, Norman Washington Manley's birthplace, is at the Roxborough Great House. It's initially part of a more prominent Roxborough Castle Estate. The Manley family inhabited Roxborough until 1903 and then moved to St. Catherine Parish. Over time, the property suffered dilapidation and was eventually destroyed by a fire in 1968. What remains today is a terraced garden, and the foundations of the house and the barbeque used for drying Pimento grains. The name Roxborough is believed to be of Scottish origin. A pilgrimage to Roxborough is held every year on July 4th, the anniversary of Norman Manley's birth.

Travel back in time and visit the Roxborough! I'd love to help you plan your trip, so be sure to call me or send me an email when you're ready to start planning.

Aside from the ingredients that exist in Jamaica, any foods that have been introduced are now grown locally. A wide variety of seafood, tropical fruits, and meats are available.
The Jamaican cuisine has been adopted by Irish, African, Indian, British, French, Spanish, and Chinese influences. Jamaican patties and a lot of bread and pastries are also a staple as well as fruit beverages and Jamaican rum.

The expression of the native people's beliefs is through a ritual dance with the aid of intricate masks. The art of mask making is still thriving in Mexico; however, the purpose of wearing them shifted from ceremonial to a more commercial, decorative approach. There are also some rotating exhibits that will let you in on more information about the centuries-long tradition. Even so, rotating exhibits throughout the nation offer tribute to the centuries-long tradition. Mexican masks were made by farmers, carpenters and other laborers who passed down their skills but often did not identify themselves in their work. The masks can be made from wood, leather, paper-mâché, wax, and metal, embellished with horse and goat hair, straw, ribbons, mirrors, yarn, braided straw, horns, and animal teeth. Among masks, themes are animals like jaguars and deer, religious and historical figures and ethnic types.

Ayers Rock is a unique geological feature in a remote location, about 462 km from Alice Springs. Standing high above the Northern Territories' spinifex plains like some continental giant, this massive sacred rock of Uluru is probably the ultimate most majestic icon of the Southern Land.

Watching as Ayers Rock changes from vibrant hues of terracotta to crimson at sunset over the Pitjantjatjara's tribal lands is a marvelous, unforgettable sight!

Let's work together to plan your adventure to Ayers Rock. I'd love to help! Give me a call or send an email when you're ready to start planning!

Laguna Bacalar is exquisitely lovely with near-pristine waters and has become a favorite destination. The shades of blue and the intensities of colors vary as Tradewind-driven clouds come and go, often many times an hour during the day. The lake actually shows different shades of blue in different places at any one moment, maybe due to the various water depth and bottom color and the viewer's height above the water. The color blue also changes as the day progresses, probably due to changes in sunlight and turbidity or suspended solids, in the water. One of the enthralling characteristics is the changeability of the lake coloring, but primarily it's blue. There is just a special "Bacalar blue" that seems to appeal to everyone who sees it.

When a porous limestone bedrock collapses it forms cenotes, these are natural swimming holes which reveal a secret subterranean world of groundwater pools. A lot of cave cenotes contain fresh water that has been carefully filtered by the earth, making them so clear and pure that you can see the marine life below. Open-air cenotes also have clear water, and often are home to vitamins and mineral-rich algae that nourish and protect your skin. The Mayan villages surrounded these spiritual wells and believed that they could speak with the gods through them. Getting immersed in the clear waters with giant tropical trees hovering above will transport you back into prehistory.

The Yucatan Peninsula is one of Mexico's go-to vacation destinations. Here, you will find a good stretch of coast along the Caribbean Sea called Riviera Maya, it offers just the right kid-friendly activities to balance lazy days basking in the sun. Snorkeling is a big thing here, as is sailing. If you are a curious nature lover, then put birdwatching and turtle nest observation in the itinerary. Make sure to hike up amid the ancient Mayan ruins, or book an excursion to brush up on your history. For a home base, a lot of families avoid lively Cancun and instead head south toward Cozumel or even further toward a more serene Tulum. There are several kid-friendly properties throughout the Yucatan Peninsula to choose from, depending on your family's priorities.

I'd love to help you plan your trip, so be sure to pick up the phone and call me or send me an email when you're ready to start planning.

Australia is known for its adorable kangaroos, which are mainly found in Australia and New Guinea. There are four kangaroo species, including the red kangaroo, eastern grey, western grey, and antilopine. These mammals can hop quickly on two legs or stroll on all fours, but they can't walk backward. A kangaroo's robust legs are used for defense as well as mobility. They can jump up to 3x their height.

Most kangaroos eat grass. A group of kangaroos is referred to as a "mob," "troop," or "court." The red kangaroo is the biggest marsupial in the world. Some males have been known to reach over 2 meters tall! In the wild, their life expectancy is six years old.

There is a popular street treat in several parts of Mexico, it's called elotes. It's made out of boiled or grilled corn and seasoned with a variety of toppings, ranging from the piquant to the tart. All at the same time, it's sweet, spicy, herbal, and sharp—a bite of this plays on a wide spectrum of flavors. Having a fear of corn getting stuck in between your teeth? Then, shredding the kernels off is an acceptable way of serving the dish called esquites. It's actually an easy peasy dish that takes little to no time in preparation. It's a staple that kitchen novices and veterans enjoy at any time in the coziness of their homes.

But if you wish to experience it first hand, I'd love to help you plan your trip, so be sure to pick up the phone and call me or send me an email when you're ready to start planning.

Would you like to learn ten fun facts about the Sydney Harbour Bridge?

Sydney Harbour Bridge opened to the public in 1932. At 1,149 meters long, it is the world's largest steel arch bridge. It contains 6 million rivets, driven by hand! The four arches at either end are entirely decorative.
The steel used to construct the Harbour Bridge weighs an astounding 52,800 tonnes. The steel was 79% imported from England and 21% from Australian sources.
In 1932, 96 steam locomotives were prepared to test the bridge's load capacity. When it opened, it cost a car six pence to cross. A horse and rider cost 3 pence. It now costs $3.30 (no horses allowed).

If you find aged-clay artifacts or other earthenware Mexican pottery interesting, then know that these figurines, vessels, and wall art find their inspiration and technique in Mexico's ancient art. Each style and finish is rooted in an indigenous tradition and locales. Each one is truly a treasure. It's like an ancient treasure was just unearthed along the shores of Lago de Chapala. Sun-baked terracotta comes from Puebla's arid landscape, reduction fired black clay pots from the Zapotec village of San Bartolo, and hand-molded pre-Columbian figures are inspired by ancient Colima sculptures. Try to visit Mata Ortiz pottery section, and you will find handcrafted pottery with geometric shapes and animal motifs that are indeed works of art. I'd love to help you plan your trip, so be sure to pick up the phone and call me or send me an email when you're ready to start planning.

The 2nd most visited archeological site of Mexico today is a place called Chichen Itza, which means "at the mouth of the well of Itza." After much publicity and promotion, on July 7, 2007, in Lisbon, Portugal, The Kukulkan Pyramid in Chichen-Itza, which is known as "El Castillo" (the castle), is included in the list of the new seven wonders of the world. It is precisely 24-meters-high considering the upper platform. There are also quite a handful of other archaeological sites to visit apart from the Kukulkan Pyramid, and the Mayan Culture is evident in all of them in so many ways. I'd love to help you plan your trip, so be sure to pick up the phone and call me or send me an email when you're ready to start planning.

Greece has always been an ideal Mediterranean vacation destination. With over 1,400 islands (230 inhabited), it can be hard to choose which one to visit first.
Greece has some of the most interesting architecture, especially showcased in its churches. You can find beautifully detailed churches peeking through the hills, in secluded spots among green landscapes, in the middle of large squares, and amidst the picturesque quarters. If you are eyeing the Greek Islands, consider Tinos, Naxos, Paros, Syros, Sifnos, the Sporades, Mytilini, Crete, Lefkada, Kefalonia, Corfu, Aegina, Evia, and Thasos.

You'd have a grand time exploring Greece! I'd love to help you plan your trip, so be sure to pick up the phone and call me or send me an email.

Situated on the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, to the west of the port of Progreso, is the little fishing port, Chuburná, in the state of Yucatan in Mexico. Lately, it has been transformed into a tourist attraction because of its beaches. Some remnants of the Mayan civilization are still visible in the surroundings of Chuburná. Based on the 2005 census carried out by INEGI, the population of the town was 1,720 inhabitants. It is considered one of the oldest places in the municipality of Progreso. The government of Juan Francisco Esquivel and de la Rosa declared Juan Francisco Esquivel and de la Rosa and Chicxulub as guarded populations of Yucatan in 1663 for the defense of the coast against the incursion of the pirates that operated from the Lagoon of Terms.
