Just a quick reminder that the Ruidoso Downs Jockey Club is open to the public for simulcast betting every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM through Labor Day Weekend and the public is welcome!

Please remember that there is a dress code (no shorts allowed and men must have a collared shirt). They are offering their full menu, and drink specials are available. Come enjoy an afternoon of racing and help support our local economy!

Due to the main entrance bridge being compromised, the entrance to the facility is now on Highlands Lane using Joe Welch Drive from Highway 70. Signage has been placed roadside on both streets to help drivers through the alternate route to the property. See the map below.

Midtown is open! Restaurants are operating as usual! Local retailers are stocked and excited for you to come shop! Lodgers and hotels have rooms and cabins available for you right now. Our businesses are struggling, but you can help by planning your trip, coming to visit, and supporting our community with your kindness and patronage.

Plan ahead for a safe visit. Stay out of closed areas, watch weather forecasts, and be aware of flood zones. Most of all, monitor village updates while you're here for any changes. However, you'll find that it's easy to have a safe and BEAUTIFUL Ruidoso vacation with a little preparedness! 💚

Our Managed Services and Network Operations team set up a free public WiFi access point at 433 Sudderth Drive, next door to the First National Bank, for anyone who's network has been affected by the fires in the Ruidoso area.
The network name is under TCI Public, feel free to stop by and connect to the internet for anything you may need for the time being.

Sadly our happy place in the tall cool pines of Ruidoso did not survive the fires. Over the last thirty years our family and friends enjoyed countless good times and made lasting memories at High Cotton, (aka The Cabin at Cedar Creek, Ruidoso NM). Many of you shared the good times with us, and others of you made your own. We would love for you to post your pictures, stories and memories of the cabin in the comments. After all, "good times there are not forgotten."

The Village of Ruidoso has formed a Short-Term Rental Sub-Committee composed of members of the Planning Commission. This sub-committee has been established to assess the impact of short-term rentals on our community and ensure that Village regulations effectively manage these properties. Your involvement is crucial in this significant step of our community's development.
