Hi, I'm Lisa Thompson, Owner and Founder of MC Travel Company, formally named Mouse Class Travel, first established in 2017 in the Sunshine City of St. My team of agents works as a single cohort, along with each client who books travel through our agency. The team aspect of travel planning services allows our guests to experience a full-time concierge level of care reflective of the brands we sell

. Our partnership with Disney, Royal Caribbean, Viking River Cruises, Classic Vacations, Sandals, and many more, directly results from our agency growth and client loyalty. Each agent in my team specializes in a portion of your vacation planning, from booking to discounts to fact-gathering and excursions. Why I started MC Travel Company

Before starting my agency, I stayed at Disney Resorts and Theme Parks with my family nearly ten times a year (now it's about 5-6 times a year). At the time of my first few visits in 2012, I could not believe the level of complication for such a magical destination. Realizing the thousands of dollars families spend each year, it became my mission to help as many guests as possible to understand the logistics behind Disney vacation planning. So, in 2015, I started sharing free advice on "the mouse," and the name Mouse Class was born. In 2017 I opened my travel agency and added "travel" to the name. Today, my agency sells 70% Disney Destinations; the other 30% is designated to booking other amazing vacations worldwide with many incredible suppliers. Our newest rebranding reflects this. As a travel agent, when discounts become available for vacation packages booked through us, we often work extensive hours - sometimes up to 16 hours a day - to readjust our guests' bookings, saving them hundreds or thousands of dollars. This courtesy service comes at a cost to our own income. Unlike booking directly with suppliers like Disney, Sandals, or Royal Caribbean, where guests must monitor discounts and navigate potentially lengthy call queues to apply them themselves, we handle this process for our clients. Despite long hours and decreased earnings, we prioritize our clients' vacation memories, making travel agency work one of the few professions where we actively reduce our income for clients' benefit. After major hurricanes like the back to back storms we just lived through, our clients vacations still take priority as we help navigate and reroute vacations in addition to rescheduling complete vacations deferring income until the following year. I pay all my teammates equally and whatever sales we lose I make up with my personal income to keep their income consistent. Not all agency’s operate this way. “We went to Aulani resort as well as an Airbnb that MCT was able to book for us at a cost - it was a 2 bed, 3 bath villa at Koloa Landing Marriott Collection Resort in Poipu… so dreamy! Have used MCT for at least 7 years and didn’t realize they could book these until recently. It was voted one of the top 10 pools in the US and there were so many included resort activities (s’mores on Tuesday and Thursdays, lei making with ti leaves, hula lessons, etc). There was a full kitchen and laundry in unit, plus it had an awesome hotel restaurant/bar with live music. It was perfection!” - Di Ander

Lisa’s foray into the sponsorship program came when the School was employing sponsorship billboards. “I was just beginning to build my agency’s brand with a focus on Disney Destinations, so I had a fun idea for a Cinderella Castle billboard on the Lower School campus — something the kids would enjoy seeing each day.” After her company evolved into MC Travel, which helps clients plan a variety of “dream-worthy adventures,” she continued this type of support.

MC Travel was an event sponsor for the Shorecrest Gala in the School’s centennial year because Lisa wanted to be a part of that pivotal moment in the School’s history. She continued supporting Shorecrest events in 2023-2024 as the bar sponsor for the inaugural SCA Soiree. This year MC Travel is the Presenting Sponsor for the Soiree: Shorecrest Royale, which will be held on Saturday, September 21 at The Birchwood. Demonstrating that type of long term commitment is not only a great example for her children, but also to other families who might consider giving back in this way.
