We're celebrating our town's recognition as Ohio Magazine's Best Hometown from 2024 to 2025! The day kicks off at 10:00 AM with exhibitors setting up along the first two blocks of North Main Street. Stop by to explore the businesses and organizations that make our community so special.

In our mail today was our November-December 2024 copy of Ohio Magazine. I actually forgot we had a subscription to it until today. While my wife reads it cover-to-cover, I haven’t looked at in months, maybe for over a year. What caught my “eye” was that nearby Urbana, Ohio in Champaign County is the featured city.

The headline on the cover of the publication reads: “A Downtown Revival Marks A New Chapter For This Historic Town.”

A sandwich board / chalkboard sign in front of the bakery, Let’s Eat Cake” at 117 Scioto Street notes: “A cupcake is happiness with icing on top!”

The historic architecture in Urbana creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Grab your friends, pick up your Wine Trail Passport, and start your journey through some of the best local wine spots in the county. Here’s how you can participate:

How It Works:

1. Pick up your Wine Trail Passport at the Champaign County Visitors Bureau.
2. Visit each stop on the trail and get your passport stamped before March 1, 2025.
3. While purchases are not required, we encourage you to support these local businesses and enjoy their unique offerings! 🍷🥂
4. Return your completed passport to the Visitors Bureau (127 W. Court St., Urbana). If we're closed, just drop it in the mailbox, and we'll reach out about your prize! 🎁
