Santa, I have been mostly good, but I am trying very hard, and I really, really do want to go on a Pohutukawa Motorcycle Tour.
Tell mum & dad that they have a grown up on each tour and will help me if I have any problems on the trip and I get to pick my bike, and my hotel cost is included, and my breakfast and dinners are included, and I get to go on zip lines and ferry’s, and jet boats and see hobbits and lots of other neat stuff that are included and I get to ride on really neat roads, and I get to ride up into the big mountains and I get to meet new people and eat different food.
I hope they don’t make me eat salad stuff.
They let me stay up past my home bedtime and I can even drink big boy or girl drinks. I can even take my best friends with me.
Please, Santa, it will be lots of fun and I promise I will send postcards and letters home.
PS. If I act grown up, and behave myself, I can even do a self-guided tour with just me and my friends by ourselves.

The BMW MOA Rally in Redmond OR, is now over. It was a great time, and we met so many new people. We had a tremendous number of people visit us at our booth. Thanks to everyone who stopped by or came to our presentation. Lots of interest, lots of questions and most importantly lots of laughs. The Rally organizers/volunteers did a fantastic job of organizing everything.
Some points to remember.
• 10% rally discount, good through the end of June.
• Based on interest a 27-day 2 island tour is scheduled from Feb. 28 to Mar. 26, 2025.
• The 2 18-day tours are filling fast.
o Sth. Island Jan. 5 to Feb. 1, 2025

• All deposits are fully refundable up to 30 days before the tour.

A review from a recent tour.

My wife and I rode the 27-day 2 Island New Zealand unguided tour in February 2024. Wow! We’ve toured much of the western US and Canada during our 40 years of riding together and this was like all the best parts of that rolled together. The riding was spectacular.

Colin was there (virtually) throughout and jumped right on a last-minute arrival change we had to make. The entire trip went as planned, in 27 days we had only one 10-minute delay that occurred at a hotel check in, that’s it! Amazing.

We might have been a bit nervous about riding a used rental bike, but the professionals had the bike well-tuned and with shops on both islands it was nice knowing a repair or replacement were only a few hours away.

One of the things that made this trip so special was how every day's experience was excellent. The planning was spot on with lots of ideas for activities and recommended eating spots included in our personal travel guidebook.

A review from a recent tour. Thanks Todd & Donna.

Pohutukawa Tours
My wife and I booked an 18 day tour to explore both islands of New Zealand with Pohutukawa Tours. We had initially planned on a guided tour but decided to do a self guided tour instead. Colin and Lynette made all the arrangements from airport transfers, hotel rooms and ferry boat tickets. We arrived a few days early to get acclimated to New Zealand time and Colin was able to get our bike 3 days early so we could have a 19 day adventure. We were given a wonderful itinerary that outlined each day’s ride and restaurant recommendations and places to stop and explore on each day. We were advised of which attractions we would need to make reservations at so we would be able to get the most out of our trip. The roads he mapped out gave us a thrilling ride and beautiful scenery every day. The trip was definitely a once in a lifetime adventure.

Tour of the Mountain Giants. Day-6. The last day on the road, unfortunately just more blue sky, light clouds, warm breeze, and endless easy sweepers. Wait—that’s a good thing. This has been a fantastic tour, with wonderful people, and lots of Wow factors, memories, & experiences to last until the next PMT tour. Ended with a great dinner at a local Tai restaurant. Everyone is homeward bound tomorrow.
