Day 3 - Disney Wish Cruise -- Nassau

So today we were in port at Nassau Bahamas. I have been to this port many times, and decided to spend the majority of the day on the ship. BUT... I did want to check out the newly renovated dock area. What a pleasant surprise. Sooo much better than before. Beautiful and welcoming video screen entry followed by a bunch of new shops, dining, beach area, and even a Junnkanoo Museum! Did walk around and walked all the way down to the new Margaritaville Resort... WOW! Great waterpark area, beach, dining, shade lunges on beach and pool area... and all available on a Day Pass! Going to check this out on my next cruise to Nassau :)
So back on board and decided to get a day pass for the Thermal Suite. This is one of our favorite spa experiences on any ship (book it on almost every cruise we take), but without a doubt this is the BEST Thermal Spa on any ship we have been on. Check out the pictures. Already booked the cruise pass for this for my Anniversary cruise in February!
Tonight was Pirate Night with fireworks ... a special treat on almost all Disney Cruises. I know I keep saying this, but that was the best Pirate deck show so far. Disney Wish is really getting things right.

Day 2 - Disney Wish Cruise -- Day At Sea

Today was spent mostly exploring the ship, and all I can say is WOW! This ship feels and looks like a Disney ship, but it is very different than the other 4 ships in Disney's fleet. Of course, I started my day with my latte with a special greeting from Mickey himself!
All 3 main dining rooms are new to the ship. Last night you saw pictures of Worlds of Marvel dining and tonight we were at Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure. these 2 restaurants include a show component that goes on and off while you dine. Marvel was an adventure story while Arendelle is a story told in music. It was so much fun and perfectly timed to not interfere with your dining. We did however end up with a table WAY back in the corner and our view of the show was not good at all. But as you can see in the pictures, all the characters came and visited us at our tables. The evening concluded with an amazing broadway style show The Little Mermaid.. and it did not disappoint.

Tomorrow we are in Nassau and it is Pirate Night with Fireworks at Sea!

DAY 1 of my Disney Wish Cruise!

Sorry I have been slow on getting these posted. Day 1 was boarding day with some great adventures. I crammed in a lot of activity! I Got in a few AquaMouse rides before any crowds arrived (walked on 3 times with no waits at all). Got in my first lunch at Smokehouse BBQ, my first of many FREE ice creams!! Booked several things for later, checked out many of the venues, dinner at Marvel restaurant, and finished out the day with the NEW Disney show!

Highlights.... BBQ was amazing! Loved the new changes to the Aqua Mouse ride compared to the Disney Dream (video screens tell a story to set up your ride with some 4D experiences thrown in). And I have to say I enjoyed the new Disney show.... they always have a kind of parade of characters in the first show, but this one had a story about being on a cruise ship! Unique and fun! I did like the Marvel dining experience, but food was a little underwhelming.

Actually, these are the sacrifices I am willing to make to better serve you! 1 cruise is to test out shorter cruises out of Galveston, another is to go on the Wish to better understand her, and 1 next fall is to go to the new private Disney port Lighthouse Point…. Just finished watching the Grand Reveal of the NEW Disney Cruise ship the Disney Treasure. WOW! It is like the Wish, but with a whole new Indiana Jones "Adventurer" feel complete with Jungle Cruise vibes! I will be posting the reveal video soon just to wet your appetite. The Treasure is scheduled to start sailing in December 2024 and I can't Wait!

DAY 5… The Race To The Finish Line!

Today, we wrapped up our 2023 Family Disney Adventure with a day that was “out of this world”. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We traveled to Batuu in Star Wars, Muppetland, to Woody’s world of imagination in Toy Story Land. We boarded what felt like a rocket ship on Rock’n Roller Coaster, and ended the night at what seemed to be a much improved Fantasmic show. It was an ABSOLUTELY perfect end to a perfect day… and the BEST !!! to our family adventure🎉🎉
When the boat came around with all the characters singing and waving I cried like a baby. As our kids are now full grown, married, and off building lives of their own, I am not sure if or when we will have the chance to do this again… we glad we snatched the moment and made this a summer to remember.

I encourage you…. Don’t miss your moments to invest into magical memories like this!

Day 4… time to get caught up!

So day 4 was “relax” day.… but in true Disney fashion, it filled up fast. Ended up going to Boma for breakfast, then back to bed for a nice nap 😊. Kids went to Disney Springs and my wife and I took advantage of the amazing hot tubs at Jambo house. And… spent some quality time animal gazing from our balcony. I LOVE Savannah View rooms!!! Then for the the evening we headed back to EPCOT for an After Hours event. We watched the new fireworks show, We rode Remy (15 minute wait), Frozen Ever After (15 min wait), Test Track (20 min wait), PRO TIP: the new Guardians Coaster actually has a standby line during the party so we saved to the end and wait was less than 60 minutes. We squeezed in a bunch of other things such as Fish & Chips dinner, and we ate our fill of free Mickey bars, sandwiches, sodas. All in all, a great end to our ”relax day”😜

Day 3… we are off to the experimental city of tomorrow. Not sure what that is? It is Walt Disney’s EPCOT! This used to be a half day park for me, but with the addition of Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and the Incredible Guardians of the Galaxy:Cosmic Rewind (maybe the coolest roller coaster ever made), and this was without a doubt a FULL DAY… especially when we added dinner at the indescribable new Space 220 Restaurant. Wow!!! And the food was amazing!

Day 2… we are off to the Kingdom of Magic. So what was it like? Busy… hot… but Tron was amazing as advertised, Ariel, seven dwarves, space mountain were fantastic as always. And we got to see the flag ceremony honoring a soldier for the first… truly inspitational! Tomorrow we are headed to EPCOT
