Alex Jordan at Open Space for Arts & Community on September 23rd at 7:30 PM!

Alex has played with Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Peter Rowan, and many others. In the fall of 2017, he began working on his debut solo record "The Subtle Exhibitionist" released in May of 2020.

Alex is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who has been surrounded by music his whole life. The son of a high school music teacher, Alex started singing at a young age, dabbled with brass instruments (playing primarily Jazz trombone), harmonica, ukulele, bass, and piano before eventually discovering the electric guitar at age 17.

Today's the day! Looking forward to helping you pick the right trees or shrubs for your garden.
Pro tip: Tree tags often give you garden size which typically means the size it will reach in 10 years. That is not it's ultimate size. Make sure your getting a tree that won't out grow the space you are trying to fill.

On the island today? Swing into Lunetta Pizzeria South of town. Excellent, delicious Neapolitan style pizza. Cool vibes, cool people. Awesome outdoor park like area out back where you can eat and hang out. Try the Hot Mario. Just the perfect amount of spice!

If you are on the island tonight, check out the Vashon Pub & Smokehouse, they have Open Mic every Wednesday. Great local island musicians, incredible food and of course, great brew.

Wednesday nights (6:30pm-9:00pm) are Open Mic with JD Hobson at the smokehouse. Come on up to the pub and listen to some great local music by some of the island's terrific musicians! If you happen to be one of those talented folks, come up and play a couple songs!
