We just got home from the Inaugural cruise to Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the Disney Fantasy. On this sailing we were able to visit this new destination for Disney Cruise Line twice and visited Castaway Cay, Disney's private island, too.
I tried to post my tips and thoughts while onboard but it kept failing. So hopefully this post will work 🤞
Oh my goodness, what a day! Glad you made it though!
So after visiting Lookout Cay twice this week, here's my best advice for you to help you have the best time.....
Get off the ship right away as close to 8:30 as possible. It's a long walk to the tram so be prepared.
If you look at the whitish walls on the tram route you should see crabs crawling it in the morning (not afternoon).
When you get to the main part, go to the store first thing. The ornaments are one of the 1st things to sell out. If you want one they've been on the far right close to the entrance on the wall. For clothes, if you don't see your size just ask as they seem to have tons in the back.
When you're done head to the beach and claim your chairs. They go fast and there's not a ton on the actual beach.
Ice cream machines are only on the family side. But the fruit stand is only on the adult side.
Be sure to be there as soon as lunch opens just before 11:30. You'll have the least amount of flies this way. And sit at a table with a fan to help too.
The Lighthouse is at the far right and you can walk along the beach down to it and the cliffs. The lighthouse sits at the top of the cliffs.
There is a Junkaroo parade that has characters in it 2 times a day. It's cute and happens at the Goombay Cultural Center.
The beach and ocean are beautiful!! But if you want to float in the water, bring your own as they don't currently rent beach rings or floats, only snorkel equipment.
But most importantly, enjoy your cruise!!!! And if you want to learn more or book your sailing please reach out.
