We use a 2012 Tacoma to overland with. It is a great rig, 142000 miles so far. It has been backed into three different oceans so far, through desserts, mountains, flooded flats, steep rough trails. Do you have a Jeep, Toyota, a Nissan, Ford 4X4. Are you in a jeep club or off road club or do you overland? When was the last time you had the 4wheel drive engaged or off the hard surface? Come out to one of our workshops. Test your knowledge and skills, maybe learn something. We are scheduling workshops and clinics for the spring and summer. Camping for two nights, one full day of hands on clinics, vehicle recovery, trail repairs, trip planning and off road training.

Nomad Overlanding will put a workshop together that fits your needs and requirements. Vehicle recovery , camp cooking, outfitting your rig , what ever you would like to see. Vehicle recovery, camp set ups, equipment choices, dutch oven cooking, trip planning, trail repairs and much more. 2023 will be a great year for exploring and stretching your overlanding skills. Who we are

My name is Joe Hunt. I have many years of camping experience. My wife Sally and I have been taking customers, family and friends on exciting trips for years. Some of our travels include: Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail, Black Bear Pass, Cinnamon Pass, White Rim Trail, Zion National Park, Bryce National Park, Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands National Park. We offer guided overlanding trips primarily but not limited to the Midwest and Western states. From basic to remote camping workshops, off road remote camping, exploring trails and nature, and teaching the history of the land we travel. Our goal is to provide a fun, family oriented experience to suit your needs. Choosing proper and safe campsites, fire safety, campfire cooking and recipes are part of the journey. If you enjoy driving jeep trails and off the beaten path roads through wooded areas, old mining/ghost towns, deserted land and beautiful mountain passes, our trips are for you. Go to our contact page and give me a call or email me your level of experience, method of travel, general destination and length of journey and we will put together an affordable, tailored, guided or semi guided overlanding and camping trip that you'll remember forever. We can handle one person in one vehicle to up to 12 people in 4-5 vehicles. Prices will vary depending on group size and what you would like to accomplish. We are grandparents and welcome children on most trips.
