I am a retired Nuclear Training Consultant having worked 50+ hours/wk until I was 70 years old. Now, I help friends of mine in Mexico who are established outfitters offering the very best of Mexican hunts. By helping them they allow me to hunt at a significantly reduced price. I have hunted with other outfitters in Mexico, but chose to stick with these for numerous reasons.

Our Dove season runs August 9 thru October 14.
We offer NO LIMIT hunts each weekend during the season.
Expect to shoot 25 - 30 boxes of ammo each weekend.
Arrive Friday afternoon at the airport in Laredo, TX where we will pick you up and take you to the ranch. We have shooting sessions Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon, Sunday morning and afternoon and Monday morning. After the Monday morning session, we will take you back to the airport.
$1,800 per shooter includes pickup and drop off at the airport in Laredo, hunting license, tags, gun rental, dedicated bird boy to retrieve your birds and carry your gear, meals, lodging, open bar.
Does not include ammo at $18.00/box of 25 shotshells.

Our hunters are facing wintry conditions, cold, windy. But, they're getting the job done.

Best bird so far is 22lbs with a triple beard.
I have finally recuperated from the Jan 2024 Whitetail Deer season on the ranch in MX. We managed to fill all 20 tags with 9 Trophy Bucks and 11 Management Bucks.
I did a terrible job of recording our success by taking photos of all our deer, but I was able to salvage this video from one of my cameras of an 8 pointer. He was a Management Buck this year but may be a Trophy Buck next year (TBD). For sure, he will be very high on my target list either way and I hope one of my hunters gets to hang him on their wall.
Well, rifle season has come to a close with a bang. Or, actually several bangs.
Erica bettered her buck from last year with this nice 10 point.
Mike celebrated her acheivement by drilling 3 Javelinas with one shot.
And Paul added a couple of his own after dropping his management buck.

Deer season has been a bit strange already this year. Ric and Robbie dropped this pair on the last day of their hunt. Great clients and very well done! Robbie's 10 pointer is a very nice deer and the best deer I've managed to touch so far although I've seen a giant or two. The pic doesn't do justice to either deer but it really doesn't show that Ric's management buck has very nice chocolate antlers.
I got a little sunburned yesterday as Juan and I sighted in a new scope on the south veranda in shorts and t-shirts. Today is 35.
Like I said...strange.
This 10pt is not too old. Another couple of years, he might be something special.
I am happy to report that everyone had a great time this past August at our NO LIMIT Dove Hunt in MX. Our hunters averaged shooting just over 25 boxes each weekend and at least one hunter broke the century mark shooting 100+ birds in a single session each weekend.
We are extending the 2024 season to include the month of September and have availability for the weekends of the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th. Grab a buddy or come alone, you will have a great time. Price is still $1,800 per person and $18/box of shells.

Just to contrast the birds on the ranch yesterday to those just before dove season opened, the birds on this feeder are more than half Whitewings. (Photo taken in July)
We normally have quite a few doves winter-over on the ranch. Normally, more than 50% of our birds are Whitewings. But during the cooler months, not so much. In fact, they are normally all gone by the middle of October, which is when we end our season.
We're only about 3 weeks away from the beginning of rut. Nice to see this decent 10pt but the big boys don't come out and pose for the camera until they start chasing does. Last year, I did not have a single pic of any buck that was shot during rut until after he was down. I expect this year will be the same.
I have enough of these to go around. Technically known as Collared Peccary, these Javelina are abundant on the ranch and offer a good change of pace if you get bored sitting in a blind or want just a little something to top off your trip.
The opportunity to take some of these animals is included with your Management Buck hunt. Or, I can set something up for you if you just want to hunt them.

We still have a LOT of green on the ranch. We do not normally see many good bucks until most of the green is gone because that is all 20%+ protein...much higher than the corn we feed. But, nice to see this guy anyway.
3rd week of dove season. Another great weekend with another shooter breaking the century mark in one session.
2nd week of dove season was a little better. Most of the guys shot 20-25 boxes of ammo with one shooter dropping over 100 birds in one session.
Opening weekend of our dove season. We only had 3 shooters for the opener but, they managed to shoot a few birds. Everyone shot about 20 boxes of shells with the best shooter collecting 248 birds with a lot of them being White Wings.
The weather did not cooperate with us giving daily temps avg 107 degrees with winds 15 - 25 mph. On day 2, we broke out the Lucky Duck Dove decoys and the birds decoyed very well.
This camera is only 150 yards from the lodge where I have stood at the dining room windows watching groups of a dozen or more of these Jack Rabbits playing all over this area.
They are a staple in the diet of the coyotes on our ranch and strange looking ccreatures for those of us from KY.
We will begin offering predator hunts on the ranch in MX beginning next February, immediately after deer season. We have good populations of Coyotes, Bobcats and Javelinas and a few hogs.

On my last visit to the ranch, I activated 3 trail cams in high traffic areas for whitetail.
I didn't expect to see much since it is summer time and the deer aren't moving around very much. Rut doesn't kick in until January but it looks like the buck in this first video has a good start on a nice rack.
In addition to our milo planting, we have relocated 8 deer feeders to the area near the lodge to begin attracting doves from neighboring ranches and concentrate them near the lodge before season begins.
This one is only 150 yds from the lodge and is becoming quite popular. These feeders are slinging milo and set for 7:00AM and 5:00PM. Notice that this video was shot at about 1:30PM so you can imagine what the numbers look like early morning and late afternoon.

These guys are just playing. But, if we can get a good stretch of cooler weather...they just might kick it up a notch.

This is feeder #1 and my first look at this buck. The 10 pointer seems to be showing him a great deal of respect and the 8 pointer isn't even wanting to come inside the feeder fence.

This is a very nice 8 pointer and is considered a Management Buck. On our ranch, 8 pointers or less are Management Bucks. Management hunts are $2,500 with 3 full days of hunting, lodging, meals, tag, use of our rifle/ammo and pickup / drop-off at the airport in Laredo, TX. The ranch is on the MX side approximately a one hour drive from the airport. We still have 3 spots available to be taken any time between January 18 - 31, 2023. Rut hunts are $4,700 with 5 full days of hunting and you may harvest a deer of any size. Rut is the first 2 weeks in January and is typically when we see our largest deer. We still have 2 open spots in the 2nd week Jan 10 - 16, 2023.
