There will be construction closures and delays on Hiway 385 between Three Forks (near Hill City) north to Hiway 44. This effects a portion of the DakAL route. The construction schedule is changing traffic daily. Consult the SD DOT website for up to date infomation.

Beginning March 5th, there will be major construction on Hiway 385 between Hill City and Hiway 44. This will create major disruptions to travel to include a 41 mile detour and/or 30 minute delays. this work will continue till August. Check SD DOT website for updates.

The Dakota600 is a fundraising ride for trail development. Run by the Trail Stewards, a non-profit 501c3. Registrations will be open Feb 15-21. We stongly recommend this adventure. It will one of the best rides you have ever experienced.

GAS UPDATE: DakAL route distance between Belle Fourche and Buffalo is 205 miles. Most bikes can't make this distance without carrying extra gas. Tyler Woff at WWolffy's Garageis now offering gas in Camp Cook, with advance notice. They also have some c-store items. He has to go 50 miles to get this gas. Let's give them some business so we don't lose this service. Gas is available in 2, 5 or 7 gallon increments. Gas is $5/gal, 91 octane, no ethanol. Contact Tyler at 1-406-975-6342. Tyler has a secret gas stash spot should you be going thru after hours.
Seasonal trails will open May 15th. Suggest you carry a hand saw, there could still besome down trees.
