🌠The wait is finally over – The Geminid Meteor Shower extravaganza we've been waiting for all year is here! 🌠

With the peak being tomorrow on the night of Wednesday, Dec 13 into the morning on Thursday December 14, experts are calling for up to 120-150 meteors per hour when under perfect clear dark skies.

This is in part because we have a new moon helping the sky be extra dark, leading to peak viewing IF away from light pollutions!

These Geminid meteors are more than just streaks of light; they're a total showstopper

With their long tails and a kaleidoscope of colors – whites, yellows, reds, blues, and greens – they're a celestial masterpiece.

You can see it from anywhere in the world if you have clear skies.

💫 Here are a few tips for observing the Geminids 💫

🌟Best time to view the meteor shower will be between 10 p.m. on Wednesday through 2 a.m. on Thursday - no matter your time zone

🌟Find a place away from the city lights. Light pollution will mean that in reality, the actual number visible is far less.

🌟Hot coffee or tea and a blanket to keep yourself warm.

🌟Give yourself at least 30 mins for your eyes adapt to the darkness.

🌟Look East

🌟The colors of the Geminid meteor shower are very bright, moderately fast, and are unusual in being multi-colored – mainly white, some yellow and a few green, red and blue. These colors are partly caused by the presence of traces of metals like sodium and calcium, the same effect that is used to make fireworks colorful.

So get outside because, trust us, you won't want to blink.👀
