We are a food allergy family living just behind the Magic Kingdom. We eat on Disney property several times a week because it is so easy to eat there with our food allergies. Delicious and safe meal today at the Hard Rock Cafe’ at Universal Studios Florida. The manager Taylor was wonderful and made sure to look up ingredients in every single thing we wanted to order. He went and checked with the chef and made sure we had plenty of safe and delicious food.
Two thumbs up for Taylor and the Hard Rock Cafe’ Orlando for being so food allergy friendly!

🚨 ROYAL CARIBBEAN LIFTS VACCINE MANDATE FOR MOST U.S. SAILINGS, EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 5, 2022! 🚨
- - -

"All Guests, All Aboard Royal Caribbean!
Updated August 22, 2022 and Effective September 5, 2022-

We’re making it easier for more guests to sail with Royal Caribbean.

Unvaccinated travelers can join us for almost all U.S. sailings.

Starting with September 5th departures, guests who are not vaccinated can sail on almost all cruises from the U.S. (except itineraries that visit Canada or Bermuda). More details on our web site.

Testing protocols will be easier

Starting with September 5th, for U.S. cruises that don’t visit Canada or Bermuda:

Vaccinated guests won’t have to take a pre-cruise test on cruises that are shorter than 10 nights.
Unvaccinated guests age 5 and up will need to test within 3 days before boarding, regardless of cruise length.
We will begin accepting results from self-administered home tests."

Crossing off dinner at California Grill for good. We had a rough meal here a few years ago for dinner and decided to give the new 50th anniversary menu a try. The tomahawk ribeye caught our eye because we absolutely loved that steak back when Flying Fish had it.
Chef Rich came to the table to discuss my allergies and make suggestions. He assured me the food would be safe and flavorful. He was only correct about one. It was so safe that it had zero flavor. I had to ask for salt because obviously neither the steak or potatoes had been cooked with any seasoning whatsoever. The ribeye was extremely tough and completely flavorless. The sushi was just ok. Dessert was good but not great. The doughnuts had to be baked and not fried because they don’t have an approved fryer yet in the kitchen.

We told the server the food was flavorless and he said he would tell the chef. We never saw the chef again and no manager was called so we paid and left.

I absolutely do not recommend that anyone with any dietary restrictions waste their money at California Grill for dinner. We have had better food downstairs at Chef Mickey’s for a fraction of the price. Save your money and head to Steakhouse 71 next time. The steaks there are full of flavor and the chefs are amazing and seem to care about their guest’s experience.

We are so excited to be back at Jiko!

Delicious meal with our allergies.

Egg allergy kid had scallops as an appetizer, filet mignon with macaroni and cheese entree and African Drum Beets dessert.

Had dinner with the famous Chef TJ to explore the new menu at Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The former buffet is now a family style meal with plenty of seafood brought to the table by your server. Allergy guests will have their own dedicated portions of safe food brought out.

The food was delicious but we were disappointed that the unlimited crab legs are no longer included in the price of the meal. They can be added on for an additional $29 per pound.
