A really rainy day in Savannah. I amended my plans. Normally, I would walk around and just see what I could see. But I discovered a really interesting museum and splurged on the Telfair Museums and became part of the art and saw one of Savannahs must famous sculpture “the bird girl” made famous by the movie “midnight in the garden of good and evil” . She was taken out of the cemetery and brought to the museum for safe keeping.

The Jepson Center was so neat, I would visit it again. Some of their impressionist gallery made you part of the art in a virtual way

Chose a budget-friendly but quirky place to stay for one night in Savannah before I go to Statesboro for the weekend.

Is it close to River street and the historic district, but without “the historic district” pricing.

This retro motel has a lot of cute touches and perks.
- free popcorn 🍿, lemonade, moonpies, and RC cola.
- locally made donuts for breakfast
- pet friendly with dog biscuits and a dog patio area
- clean and neat
