After my last post from Glacier Bay National Park I realized that the GoPro split the videos from each battery into 3-4 files, so I have now managed to compile the full video from the port side of the Norwegian Jewel (best lighting, don't worry I also got the other side when the ship turned around and headed back to sea).

If you haven't been to Alaska, you need to visit Alaska and Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve its definitely one of the highlights.

Yes, I returned to Alaska. This time I went to Glacier Bay National Park and Hubbard Glacier (plus the usual Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Icy Strait Point). Bears, glaciers, salmon and even rainbows! You can literally drop your camera and still get amazing photos in Alaska.

Check out this video of the Sakurajima volcano venting in Japan. This was definitely one of the most impressive sights during the 3 cruises on the Diamond Princess. The volcano was accessible from Kagoshima with a ferry. There was also bus on the volcano that stopped in different places on the peninsula (used to be an island, but a lava flow changed that). As you can see it is still very much an active volcano and was venting ash.

A couple of photos of a few of the torii gates I walked through to get to the summit of Mount Inari near Kyoto in Japan.

The pictures don't do justice to how spectacular it is. There is even a section of the walking path called "Thousand Torii Gate" - I didn't attempt to count to a thousand, but I believe there are.

This along with Nara are a couple of the places I recommend to anyone visiting Japan.

Unfortunately you can't control the weather, a week ago this picture would have been much different with all the cherry blossoms in full bloom, but it was still a beautiful day in Hakodate, Japan while sailing on the Diamond Princess.

Here's a video of me driving an electric car. Yeah yeah yeah, don't change the channel yet, it's a Porsche Taycan and I'm sending it down Yas Marina Circuit at up to 220 kph! Oh and there is a bit of drifting going on.

The video only shows my fastest lap, but the experience included 2 recon laps, 2 laps with using the launch control (twice per lap) and then finally 2 hot laps.

I think the instructor knew something was up when I was cinching up the belts, no harness in the car. And you can see and hear, no race tires either, although the street tires it did have were pretty grippy.

It was a tick loose, I'm not sure how much of that is due to my habitual trail braking.

Highly recommended experience.

One of the fun experiences in Bora Bora, French Polynesia.

With the lagoon protected by the reef the water is crystal clear and offers amazing snorkeling and in this instance helmet diving.

Time lapse video from the Norwegian Spirit arriving at the second port of the cruise of the Society Islands in French Polynesia. As you will see the channel through the reef into the lagoon is quite narrow and the ship sails very close to a Motu. After the ship enters the lagoon it turns north to reach the port.

After arriving at the port there are some dramatic clouds as well as significant traffic both on the roads and in the marina to watch.

Really cool video from the Golden Circle in Iceland. I've included the Strokkur geysir spouting in slow motion as well. The word geysir actually originated in Icleand. Unfortunately the original "Geysir" (named Geysir)has been dormant for years, but Strokkur shows off every 5-8 minutes.
