A criminal waste.

We've been messaged by a concerned sportfisherman in the USA who has told us that Osprey Sport Fishing (Osprey Fishing Charters) of Groton, Connecticut catches and kills sharks (such as this near threatened tiger on July 2) and then dumps them overboard.

As, unbelievably, this disgraceful disregard for wildlife is legal (with a permit), our only recourse was to make this known to the public.

Here's a great behind-the-scene snap from one of our shows that is premiering tonight. During filming, Eli took a moment to fulfill his long-held dream, putting one hand on a tiger and one on a hammerhead at the same time. AND he surfaced with both hands still in tact. Incredible! Look out for "Tiger Shark Terror" on Nat Geo Wild at 8p EST tonight. You know, that other shark week/fest/thingy. (But immediately after, tune in to Discovery for the epic Return to the Isle of Jaws.
