Technical skills review on the Khumbu Glacier ✅

It's been an excellent few days of training on the Khumbu Glacier! Situated just outside our base camp, our team kitted-up, fueled with a nutritious breakfast, and took to the ice under crystal-clear, blue skies. The teams been reviewing technical skills that are needed to climb Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. By reviewing these skills now, we can move swiftly and efficiently while navigating different sections of the route. Everyone's doing great, looking strong and ready to get the climbing underway!

More to come!

All is well in the Himalayas! 🗻

The journey to base camp is officially underway! Our Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu teams are making their way through the vibrant Khumbu Valley—surrounded by color, culture, and those iconic Himalayan views. A bit of rain kicked things off, but spirits are high as we move steadily along the trail, crossing suspension bridges and gazing up at the towering peaks above.

We’ve now reached Namche Bazaar, soaking in the lively energy of this mountain hub—cafes, art galleries, and local shops galore. Soon, we’ll be back on the trail, heading deeper into this legendary valley!

To higher places!

From Ama Dablam, you’re treated to jaw-dropping views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, and more—it’s just as stunning looking out as it is looking up at this iconic peak. With sustained technical sections of snow, ice, and rock at high altitude and plenty of exposure, Ama Dablam is no easy climb—it’s a serious challenge for any mountaineer.

Join us this October to climb this iconic peak!

At relatively high altitudes and with lots of opportunity for glaciated travel, the Ecuador Volcanoes offer aspiring and seasoned mountaineers alike a playground of peaks at around 20,000ft 🗻

Located just outside of Quito, we climb the Ecuadorian giants in style, resting between climbs in Hacienda style lodges that provide outstanding relaxation and dining experiences. The combination of these beautiful climbs with first-rate lodging throughout makes this program very enjoyable!

Ecuador is one of our favorite training grounds for climbers to prepare for other big mountains around the globe! Reach out to our team to see what it's all about.

The hard work has been logged. Training is just about done, tickets long since booked, and bags are being packed (and repacked!) As we prepare to depart on this incredible journey to the top of the world, we're revisiting some tips on how to travel smart, stay healthy & save money on an expedition.

The crux of your climb is not your fitness, your gear, or your partner. It starts before you step out the door. Plan ahead and take precautions. By doing so, you’ll give yourself the best shot at getting to basecamp and on to the summit.
