And Just Like That…We’ve Turned 5! 🎂

While our hard launch came a little bit later, on this day five years ago, Sweet Life Journeys was born! 💕

Our little passion project has allowed us to
walk through life with you by planning your destination weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries, and romantic getaways. We’ve helped you celebrate your first Disney trips, retirements, graduations, and (sometimes) even your breakups!

By allowing us to help you check off your bucket list items, you’ve helped us check off one of ours and we are forever grateful. Thanks for the memories, for your continued loyalty and support, and most of all, thank you for being a friend! ❤️

Our very own Megan Bigler Tafolla, MSW recently completed Sandals Resorts’ brand new Certified Sandals Specialist program. In addition to continuing to book the most romantic honeymoon and anniversary trips in the Carribbean, we’re looking forward to putting together retreat groups in the near future! ❤️

We always recommend staying at Universal Orlando Resort or Walt Disney World’s resorts when visiting the parks to make the most of your time, however, we are also big fans of adding “pre- and/or post-“ stays at the Drury options in town on your way in or out of town or before cruising out of Port Canaveral. This is a great way to enjoy more of the parks while saving quite a bit of cash on your way in or out of town.

We just ended a week aboard Carnival Cruise Line’s glorious flagship Mardi Gras! She knocked our socks off from her casual and speciality dining options, to drinks, to live music venues, and more! Kyndall Fire and her Entertainment team maintained that energy all week and we weren’t yet ready to go home last night as we had our last cocktails and dinner.

For anyone who hasn’t cruised on Carnival since they were sailing on a Holiday/Fantasy-era ship, she’s come a long way, Baby! This ship class has something for everyone including:

- Your more upscale cruisers: Spa staterooms and Excel suites offer quiet solitude while also keeping the lido action nearby. Spa rooms come with access to the Thermal Spa for 2. Specialty dining options like Rudi’s Sea Grill and Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse aim to please and are a great value.

- Your more laidback cruisers will love the Havana staterooms with access near the Havana Bar and nearby the nightlife of decks 6, 7, and 8. (Also, the pizza. So, so close to all night pizza!)

- Families will love the Family Harbour Staterooms and levels of kids clubs for all ages! Additionally, all of the bells & whistles

It may have been a combination of the company we had on this sailing, perfect excursions, listening to a variety of live music options, or taking in good food & drink in so many amazing, well-themed venues but this has been our favorite cruise so far! We’ve passed through Nassau more times than we can count offhand, but it never gets old! The Bahamas - along with Mexico - make for a great “first cruise” destination because of the availability of short 3-5 night cruises. Still, many 7+ night options offer at least one Bahamian stop.
