Lots of tarpon around this morning but getting them to eat was tough. Neil was able to nab this specimen with a live mullet

Took advantage of the summer solstice yesterday by hitting the water bright and early with Rick. He got started with the not so common Miami Black Drum. After striking out with tarpon we turned our attention to the snook which were busting bait on top. The snook cooperated and Rick landed this big girl after untangling her from the mangroves.

Summer time in South Florida typically means a lot more flat calm days to chase the big fish offshore. Ricardo took advantage of the conditions yesterday and nabbed his first kingfish.

Tim and Heather were determined to knock Peacock bass off their list while visiting Miami, and that's exactly what they did. As the summer spawn continues these agreesive fish will be protecting their brood by attacking any baits in their vicinity. This makes for some exciting sight fishing action

Neil joined us for round 2 on the yaks, and this time got salty. We had a tough morning watching uncooperative tarpon snub our baits. However the flats produced with bonefish and yellow jacks.

Brian caught dozens of Peacock bass yesterday, along with plenty of cichlids and largemouth. Spring action in our local waterways is in full swing. Now is the time put a hurting on peacock bass
