Having owned horses, dogs, and several other animals, the founder of Big Mare, Scherry, has had personal experience with all of the same skin issues and frustrations faced by everyone else, e.g., high vet bills, topicals, and shampoos that do not work, or work only for a short time not actually alleviating the problem. While at the race track one day, Scherry noticed a horse in the winner's circle with obvious skin problems, and that's when the revelation hit. Having worked with the best cutting-edge products available for humans, she realized that what was missing from all of the existing animal skin care products was the technology necessary to get the active ingredients deep enough into the skin to alleviate the problems. Unless the viable, active ingredients in a product can get deep down into the lower layers of the skin, where the problems live and breed, they are not going to work. So, after much research, Big Mare was created as the first and only animal wound and skin care provider to use Liposome Technology to enhance the delivery and efficacy of a product.
