Additionally, all 4th graders throughout the United States can receive a FREE Christmas tree permit, as part of the Every Kid Outdoors Program (https://everykidoutdoors.gov/index.htm).

🎼Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the cave is so delightful
And since it's a constant 49 degrees
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.... 🎼

While it's not the first snow of the season, snow is falling today! There is a potential of 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation. But Jewel Cave stays a constant 49°F (9°C) and it never snows in the cave!

We are currently open daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, unless the road and weather conditions make travel to the park unsafe, through Saturday, November 30th. We will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, and on Sundays starting December 1st.
