Shown below are: Kid spot off the lobby, Painted Sky for a tropical makeover, and Aunty’s Beach House. The community center also has activities like Ear making, shirt stamping, ukulele lessons, and more. I also saw kids with iPads doing interactive scavenger hunts. And, just like at other Disney resorts there were fun pool time parties and outdoor movies.

Rainbow Reef is a Premium Experience at Aulani (extra fee). There are time slots for feedings, snorkeling, or scuba diving. On some days all slots did sell out, but not until later in the morning. Other days, it never sold out. This experience must be booked onsite, day of.

Refillable mug stations are super handy at Aulani. We chose the stainless steel option as we felt it was more likely to be used when we get home - and it’s a great souvenir. The stations are located at The Lava Shack, Zulu, Cafe, and near ‘AMA ‘AMA. The stations are Coca Cola Freestyle machines.

Pin trading happens at a few places in Aulani. The DVC area, a few of the concierges have boards and books, and the Lava Shack has times during the day. My daughter says there are definitely some rarer/older pins here.

Our upcoming trip to Hawaii has a lot of components that were booked by non-monetary means such as air miles, companion tickets, and Disney Vacation Club points. A lot of the other things do have 24-48 hour cancellation policies. But what happens if you wake up sick day-of? What if part way through your trip someone gets very sick or injured and needs hospitalization or surgery? Today’s “who” is multigenerational families! This is one of the most challenging, but rewarding types of trips to plan. Things I assist with for these trips are: •connecting packages in the hopes of families being close to one another at their resort •setting up multiple My Disney Experience accounts (if applicable) and linking them as “Family and Friends” so they can make plans together •Making multiple dining reservations that line up as closely as possible in the hopes of everyone eating together (usually requires help from my daughters) •Assisting with virtual queues (once again using my daughters as my secret weapon!) One of the biggest ways I assist is to ensure that everyone is included in the plans. From the youngest to the oldest! Whether your multigenerational family is looking to cruise, go to the theme parks, relax on the beaches of Aulani, or adventure with Adventures by Disney, I try to make sure that everyone is included, any special needs are met, and that everyone has a memorable time! (One of my favorite videos from a multigenerational family trip I worked with last year)

The new nighttime show at Epcot did not disappoint! Harmonious is full of incredible music, lighting and water effects, and fireworks! We were having fun shopping and riding attractions and decided not to stake out a place super early, but next time I go, I will definitely look to score a front row seat.

My Story

Thirteen years ago, I took my first trip to Disney World with my husband, two children (then ages 5 and almost 2), and my parents. Our youngest child had global developmental delays and traveling anywhere with her took special planning. My heart almost sank when I realized that my child’s special needs aside, Disney vacations took their own special planning. Since I knew I couldn’t disappoint my family by canceling, I decided to learn everything I could on planning a successful trip to Disney. With nine Disney Destination trips under my belt, I can’t get enough of planning Disney vacations (I might like it almost as much as the trip itself).

Since I can’t constantly be planning my family’s next Disney trip, I decided to join the Ears of Experience team and put all of our accumulated knowledge and experience to work planning one for you! Because four out of the six times that we vacationed at Disney World were over Christmas week, I have special experience on how to plan and navigate the parks during what is considered the busiest week to visit. It’s a personal challenge of mine to not get bogged down by the crowds and to enjoy one of my favorite holidays at one of my favorite places. My personal experiences, graduating from Disney’s College of Knowledge, and the abundance of resources and training from Ears of Experience has equipped me with what it takes to give you a truly magical Disney Destination vacation. By using my services for your next Disney Destination trip, I will turn what could be lots of “Oh, Bothers” into “Zero Bothers”!
