Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24
At Walt Disney World, guests have told us they would prefer to have the option to do more of their planning before their theme park day. So, this summer we will make changes to our Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane entry, including new ways to plan ahead.
On July 24, Walt Disney World will introduce new, simpler names to provide more clarity for everyone. Disney Genie+ service will become Lightning Lane Multi Pass, while individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass.
We will also be updating Lightning Lane passes to help guests:

Choose your experiences and times prior to purchasing, so you know what you’re getting.
Book Lightning Lane passes for multiple vacation days, all in a single day.
Here’s how Lightning Lane passes will work beginning July 24.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass
When guests purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, they may make up to 3 Lightning Lane selections in a theme park, in advance of your visit. They’ll also be able to choose available times as they make their selections. On the day of their visit, once they use a selection, they may check the My Disney Experience app for availability to make an additional selection.
Lightning Lane Single Pass
Lightning Lane Single Pass will work much like it does today, where guests can secure a time to ride one of our most highly demanded attractions, but they’ll now be able to make their purchase and plan in advance.
How to Plan Ahead
Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels (Shades of Green Resort, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels) will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance, for their entire stay (up to 14 days). All other guests can plan up to 3 days in advance. These advance purchase windows will let guests secure some of their must-do rides and experiences after they've had some time to decide what dining reservations they want to book and any other plans they may need to consider.
Guests may purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, a Lightning Lane Single Pass or both. The app will also be updated to make it quicker and easier to purchase and plan, with fewer steps and a new option to purchase Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass in one transaction.
Lightning Lane passes will blend features from our current services and the previously offered FastPass+ service, giving guests the choice to plan ahead and removing the hassle of planning during their vacation.
Disneyland Resort will also use the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass names beginning July 24. Based on the different ways we know guests visit Disneyland Resort, the way guests purchase, select and redeem Lightning Lane passes at Disneyland Resort will remain the same.
The complimentary features of Disney Genie service will continue to be available in the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps. Both apps have also gotten a series of upgrades over the last year to make features easier to use, including making dining reservations, mobile food ordering, and more.

More Festive Offerings Across Walt Disney World Resort
We're thrilled to share that many favorite holiday offerings are returning to our parks and Disney Springs this season!
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the enchanting Merry Menagerie of artisan-sculpted winter animal puppets will be back amidst the beautiful holiday décor. And don’t forget to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy in their festive attires!
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the yuletide projection show on the Hollywood Tower Hotel is making a comeback, and guests can catch Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear in their festive attire in Toy Story Land.

Disney Jollywood Nights is back!
Get your holiday glam ready, because Disney Jollywood Nights is once again rolling out the red carpet! On select nights November 9 through December 21, guests can get holly and jolly for five festive hours from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. during this limited capacity, separately ticketed event.
Get ready to gather on Hollywood Boulevard for a new dazzling skating spectacular set to favorite holiday tunes. Several times each evening, take in the grace and skill of international champion skaters in an awe-inspiring twist on the traditional ice show.

Staying at a Disney Resort hotel is an experience like no other, immersing guests in the same legendary detail, service, and storytelling found in the parks. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Makes a Festive Return

If guests have a sweet tooth, they’ll be excited to hear that those delicious complimentary cookies and cocoa will be available throughout the party once again, making the evening even sweeter. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a limited capacity five-hour holiday event, kicking off November 8 and running on select nights through December 20 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Guests of select Disney Resorts hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels and Shades of Green can purchase tickets starting on July 2. WHAT DO I DO????
I am surprised at least once a week by how many people don't know what I do. I often hear, "Oh, I thought you just did Disney". While I do Disney, Disney cruises, Aulani in Hawaii, Adventures by Disney, and National Geographic vacations, I DO EVERYTHING ⭐
I have been a travel agent for a decade. I do the things many people may associate with a travel agent, but I also do a lot more! The more you know, the more you can book with me. When you book with me you are helping a small business. I am not part of an MLM travel company. I only get paid for the sweat I put into it. The more you help me, the more you help my family. You help pay for the mountains of medical expenses, the sports my kids play, and the food on the table. You also help me be able to give back to the community, on both large scale sponsorships of leagues and small scale sponsorships like paying for an individual child to play a sport they may not be able to afford. All of this I was able to do in a big way last year!

New ‘Inside Out 2’ Experiences to Love at Disney Parks
Guests can get ready for the “feel everything movie of the year” with special, limited-time offerings across Disney Parks in celebration of “Inside Out 2,” now playing only in theaters!
Pixar Animation Studios’ “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as Headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment show up.

Anger Makes His Disney Parks Debut

Have you ever wondered what's so special about staying at a monorail resort? Seconds to get from Grand floridian to Magic Kingdom!
I almost forgot to post our room tour of Grand Floridian! We are in the Sago building and it's very convenient to the lobby, buses, monorail, and the food! #grandfloridian
Double purpose post here! 1- again, not good video, but this gator was right outside of our room. In the dozens of times I've been to Disney, I've never seen one on property. 2- I must share how impressed I was with Disney last night. While having dinner at Steakhouse 71 in the Contemporary, my son suffered a medical emergency. The restaurant manager and staff (along with two sweet customers) came to our aid. Reedy Creek EMTs were fantastic. The manager of both the Contemporary and Steakhouse 71 stayed with us until he was loaded into the ambulance. Dinner was comped and the Contemporary manager gave us a Mears taxi voucher to get home from the hospital. Celebration peds ER was great. This morning the manager of where we are actually staying, Grand Floridian, called to check on us and added a lightning lane for our park day. Very impressed with how everything was handled!

Quick video of the optional 5th sleepers available at Poet Orleans Riverside and Caribbean Beach. This is an excellent option for a family of 5 that doesn't want to get a family suite or villa!
