I will be taking my son on a Disney cruise on one of the ships I haven't been on and to a couple of locations I have not seen.

I will have spotty internet while on the ship, but will try to reply ASAP at night.

Walt Disney World Resort Holidays Foodie Guide 2024

It’s beginning to look like the most wonderful time of the year at The Most Magical Place On Earth, and that means … festive treats for all to enjoy! The culinary teams at Walt Disney World Resort have been working hard to ensure there are plenty of delights to try. Starting in November, the holiday season will be serving up delights and excitement to get guests in the spirit.

No matter where you visit, your taste buds will travel to a winter wonderland of flavors with each bite and sip. From the festive Red Velvet Holiday Milkshake at Dockside Dine to the sweet and savory Holiday Mine Car Meatballs at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, and returning favorites like the Peppermint Igloo at Roaring Fork, guests will have plenty of treats to enjoy all season long .

❄⛷👙Counting Down to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Reopening

With the holidays just around the corner, we’ve been counting down the days until we can jump into the winter festivities! Luckily with Disney’s Blizzard Beach reopening November 4, there are going to be even more ways to have frosted fun under the Florida sun. Few places can bring to life a melting ski resort with immersive theming other than Walt Disney World, and the water park brings together family-friendly experiences and thrilling water attractions.

It’s “snow-joke’’ that there is a lot to do at Disney’s Blizzard Beach, but here are seven ways we can’t wait to warm up our winter.

⛷1. Experience the Thrill
Guests might think The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is the only way to drop several stories at Walt Disney World, but Summit Plummet is one of the world’s tallest and fastest free-fall waterslides that sends riders 12 stories almost straight down, rocketing through a darkened tunnel and into a massive spray of whitewater.

❄2. Frozen Fun for Families
Are guests looking for fun with their little tikes? For the first time in what feels like forever, the beloved characters from “Frozen’’ are inviting kids under four feet tall to step into their own “Frozen’’ adventure while enjoying water fun at Tike’s Peak. They can roam across wading pools featuring whimsical depictions of Olaf and his Snowgie pals, engage in playful battles with pop-up water jets at Anna and Elsa’s igloo fortress, and go down slides designed just for them.

🚣3. Teamboat Springs Thrills
Guests can enjoy the perfect thrill for everyone on Teamboat Springs. This unpredictable family raft ride offers a wild journey through twists and turns, navigating one of the longest waterslides in the world. It’s a must-ride for anyone seeking unforgettable memories with family and friends.

🎋4. Relax on Cross Country Creek
For those looking to unwind, Cross Country Creek offers a peaceful float along the 3,000-foot lazy river, winding through the park’s scenic landscapes.

🍔5. Indulge in New Menu Items
Guests can indulge their taste buds with brand-new menu items that bring both savory and sweet flavors. At Warming Hut, guests will find lunch and dinner options, including the new barbecue pork sandwich with bacon and fried onion straws on a brioche bun. Sweet treats throughout the day include comfort flavors at Icee Expeditions with the new apple pie churro and praline sundae. For those already in the holiday spirit, the premium peppermint shake at Lotta Watta features a vanilla and chocolate milkshake with peppermint beverage syrup whipped cream, a brownie, and a cherry on top.

👙6. Float in Melt-Away Bay
Experience relaxation in the heated one-acre wave pool, Melt-Away Bay. Guests can float on inner tubes or splash around as gentle waves lap the shore. Mount Gushmore’s waterfalls create short, relaxing swells—ideal for lounging or swimming out to rocky outcrops to enjoy a refreshing waterfall.

💲7. Enjoy Repeat Visits
Guests can come back to the water parks again and again through May 23, 2025 with the Disney Water Parks Seasonal Pass. This limited-time special offer is back at only $79 plus tax, and allows guests to discover even more ways to combine snow and sun through winter and into next year!

They don't know when or how much, but you can add them now and lock them into your package at the price that they currently are. As a reminder, throughout 2025, guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can enjoy admission to one of our water parks on their check-in day – included with their stay.

Universal Epic Universe opens May 22, 2025 at Universal Orlando Resort. Select multi-day tickets and packages will go on sale October 22. Bookings for Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel, will also be made available.

Universal expects sellouts and system crashes so please get with me ASAP so I can put something on hold for you Tuesday it releases.

There are rumors floating around today that epic Universe booking may open tomorrow. Universal Orlando has not confirmed this, but if you plan to go to Universal next year from May to December, please message me tonight! The system is expected to crash and I want to be able to put everyone's vacations on hold that possibly want to go!

New Holiday Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom

We’re just about a month away from the most wonderful time of the year at the Most Magical, Merriest Place On Earth, and guests should get ready for some holly jolly news to add to their “Reasons To Visit Walt Disney World For The Holidays Starting November 12” list.

Meet Santa Claus at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
Over the last few years, guests may have seen Kris Kringle waving to park-goers as he sailed around the waterways of Disney’s Animal Kingdom during the holiday cavalcades. This year, guests can meet Santa Claus at the 75th Annual Dino Institute Holiday Party on the patio at Restaurantosaurus. As the guest of honor himself, Santa’s checked his list twice and invited everyone to join him in this festive new location as the students and faculty of the Dino Institute celebrate the season in (pre)-historic fashion from November 12-December 24. Guests should bring the whole family, because a Santa sighting is perfect for the little ones!

Other Wild Ways to Celebrate the Holidays
After stopping by Restaurantosaurus to say “ho ho ho” to Santa, guests should be sure to hoof it back to Discovery Island for the return of the happiest little animal herd around – the Merry Menagerie. These enchanting puppets feature winter animals of all sorts … and we need to boop each creature gently on the nose to start our holidays off right.

Guests can also meet the holiday hosts with the most, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, dressed in their festive finest together at Adventurers Outpost.

And, after a full day of shopping for their gift list (Merry Menagerie merch, anyone?) and sampling delicious goodies (stay tuned for a holiday Foodie Guide coming soon!), guests can stop by after dark for sensational, seasonal Tree of Life Awakenings that bring the spirits of winter animals to life.

Fresh Festive Entertainment at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
We all know Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a festive place to be with the cutest retro holiday decorations – and this year, there are three new entertainment acts to fill the whole family with joy, all starting November 12!

Marvel at the skills of Juggling Elves – these holiday helpers deliver festive cheer with a side of shenanigans as they show off their skills of juggling, comedy and more!

Catch the jaunty jolly tunes of the Holiday Spirit Band. This dynamic brass group will make everyone want to join in the fun and stroll into Santa’s good graces.

And guests should pick up their feet and march along with Seasons Jukebox as they bring all the performance and pep of a collegiate marching band. Hard-hitting horns, rocking drummers, and dazzling dancers will bring to life everyone’s favorite holiday classics and more.

Of course, other beloved Disney’s Hollywood Studios holiday fun also begins on November 12 – like the holiday overlay to For the First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration; another fabulous place to find Santa greeting guests at It’s A Wonderful Shop; and Sunset Seasons Greetings – with festive projections on The Hollywood Tower Hotel and magical snowfall – all along Sunset Boulevard once the sun sets on Tinsel Town.

And guests get all of that with their park ticket to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! If guests are looking for even more razzle dazzle in their holiday celebrations, they can't forget about all the extra entertainment and festive fun at the separately ticketed event, Disney Jollywood Nights.

This unique celebration happens only four times a day, so guests can’t miss their chance to catch a glimpse of the holiday cheer they bring.

Hear Tidings of Comfort and Joy with the Candlelight Processional

For many guests, the Candlelight Processional is a must-do tradition each year. The beloved show tells the story of Christmas through a stunning performance, featuring a celebrity narrator, a mass choir of Disney cast members and young singers from the community, a 50-piece orchestra, herald trumpets, and the incredible Voices of Liberty. Showtimes this year have adjusted to 5:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

Candlelight Processional Dining Packages

The Candlelight Processional is a family favorite event for a reason. Why not elevate it with a delicious dining package that includes reserved seating, ensuring that guests and their families won't miss a moment of the holiday magic? Guests can choose from fifteen distinctive eateries, ranging from character dining at Chip 'N' Dale's Harvest Feast at Garden Grill Restaurant in The Land pavilion to dining at Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada pavilion. The package includes options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with guaranteed seating for one of three Candlelight Processional shows. In the coming weeks, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will begin piloting a new service providing expedited entry to theme park attractions: Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.

At Disneyland Resort, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available first come, first served beginning two days in advance of a theme park reservation and will be valid for use in both theme parks. The first date it will be available is October 23, 2024.

At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts and may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay. It will only be valid for use in one park of the guest’s choice per day. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024.

The last part of Art of Animation is Finding Nemo. These are my favorite place to stay because they are considered the preferred location. These rooms cost a little bit more than the other family suites and they are located steps away from the main pool, the skyliner, and the lobby!

Living with the Land

Join us for Ride of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios

Tour of our room at The Contemporary Resort. This room holds up to 5 adults. We stayed Club level but the rooms are the same with the exception of some of the bathroom amenities (club had toothbrush and shave kits, robes, and slippers). Our room was a main tower water view. Our balcony has a view of the pool and Bay Lake. We could see the electrical water parade at night and our room was overlooking Chef Mickey's.
