Did you know there will be a total solar eclipse Aug 12 2026? It's not too early to start planning where you want to be. The eclipse will pass over the Arctic Ocean, Greenland, Iceland, Atlantic Ocean, Portugal, and northern Spain
Iceland is expected to have 98.5% totality and Ibiza Spain 100% totality

And like that we are on our way home. The Verandah Resort and Spa did not disappoint. This little gesture at breakfast shows the attention to detail.

Last night we experienced Shirley Heights for the famous sunset party.
It's a beautiful vantage point of the island and the sunset didn't disappoint.
The drinks flow, the BBQ is smoking, the steel bands are awesome. Fun time on a Sunday evening. All resorts are able to set up a taxi for you. It's $10 USD to enter.

Our room--superior waterfront .
I should add, from our location it is easy walk to the restaurants,pool and beach area. This property is hilly so not the best for anyone with mobility issues or if you have trouble with stairs.
You can call for a golf cart to take you where you need to go

Today we leave Sandals Grande Antigua and move to the other side of the island to stay 3nts at Verandah.
During our switch my hubby mentioned he collects license plates from each country we visit. Next thing we know we are pulling into this junk yard and our driver grabs us a plate!

Dr Sunshine is located next door to Sandals Antigua and offers a menu of massage with wonderfully scented oils. All you hear and see is the ocean while those knots melt away. Choose as little as 15 min or as much as 90 min.
