My 8:30am appointment yesterday, didn’t end until 11am. I could have shaved at least one hour off BUT my client got carried away telling stories about “Crazy George,” his friend of 50 years. And I got carried away listening and laughing. Crazy George lived 5 lives in his one life, would be drunker than everyone, stay up later than everyone and get up before everyone. And I admit, I loved every story (I got a good ab workout 🤣).

The last story before I had to wrap it up to get to my 12pm, my client looked over at her husband and said, “tell her about the time we went to Pebble Beach to golf and you and the guys were playing swords with golf clubs, in your underwear, in the hallway of the hotel!” 🤣🤣

Ahhh. And that’s why I love what I do. It’s not just the amazingness of what a HECM can provide, it’s the relationships built. I could have walked into that appointment, educated them what a HECM is and closed the deal…but that would have been boring. ❤️.

Lucky number 7! Before the offer was accepted, the seller’s agents called me and asked, “what is the probability that we can close in less than two weeks, because your client is up against a cash offer.” This was the agents first time dealing with a HECM transaction and she was a bit skeptical on the process. I replied “I can’t promise two weeks but I can tell you that you’re in the BEST hands to go for it!” She trusted me, we went for it, and BOOM, 7 days later we closed.
