Happy ! Today we're recognizing and celebrating the contributions made by interns all throughout our company. Programs at our company like RISE (Resort Industry Student Experience) provide valuable learning opportunities for students and young professionals — as well as introduce diverse talent to our company. 💫

We recently caught up with Jaycie Martin, one of our current interns working with our Performance Marketing team this summer.

When asked about her summer internship experience so far, Jaycie said, "This company has such a positive and welcoming culture it makes me, along with my other workers, feel so valued. I enjoy walking into work daily to feel welcomed and appreciated. I also have been able to experience many things while on my internship such as UCF College of Business Hall of Fame, project management training, and team bonding."

At our Mount Ascutney Resort, Front Desk Specialist Miles L. was recently recognized as their Vermont Star of the Month in June! ⭐️

Our General Manager of the resort, Leslie, says, "Miles is an exceptional team member, always offering our guests superior service with a genuine interest in making their stay a memorable one.

Miles is consistently mentioned in our guest reviews for his caring attitude, but also for his Storytime with Miles activity, where he reads a book to children at the resort in our activity room. Our Academy of Learning and Development (ALD) is excited to share our inaugural spotlight of “Branching Out”, which highlights the experience of team members that go through our six-month mentorship program, Branch Out. 🍃

This program allows participating team members to meet with others across the company and have deeper conversations around personal and professional growth topics, such as emotional intelligence, building trust, and personal brand.

Jennifer Skelly, an Administrative Assistant at Tahoe Ridge Resort, recently sat down with the team to share her experience with our mentorship program. She says, "I loved the opportunity to meet with leaders of areas that interest me outside of my current role so that I could start planning my growth within the organization!"

After more than two years of rigorous, multi-phased assessment, the team achieved the timeshare industry's first J.D. Power recognition for providing "An Outstanding Customer Service Experience."

Yesterday, several of our Corporate Campus HICV and Diversity Council team members recently attended the LGBTQ+ Unity Summit, hosted by the Florida Diversity Council.

During the event, team members heard from several local diversity and inclusion leaders, who spoke about the benefits and challenges that accompany the effective inclusion of le***an, gay, bisexual, and transgender team members in the workplace, along with catering to LGBTQ+ customers and clients.

Diversity Council member Kim West says, "To know that my fellow HICV team members were there to show support and lift up the community is something that will last with me for a very long time. My biggest takeaway was a message from the keynote speaker, who shared the quote 'a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.' This message conveyed the spirit of courageous unity — we are here to share our light with others and allow them to glow even brighter by sharing what makes us each unique.

We're proud of our company and Diversity Council's ongoing partnership with the Florida Diversity Council to grow our commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging. 🧡

Each month, our Academy of Learning & Development spotlights leaders who have recently completed our Leading WIthin Our Culture training program. LWOC is our new leader orientation that enables leaders to better understand the different business functions within our company that work together to create a memorable customer and team member experience.

This month, we're highlighting two fantastic leaders, Angel and Candace. When asked about what their biggest takeaway from LWOC was, Angel said, "I enjoyed learning the history of the company and what future goals that are in the works. I loved the fact that this company cares just as much about the culture of the resorts as they do about the success of the business!"

Candace's biggest takeaway was, "The real emphasis on our family culture, I realized how much that flows through the company from top executives to the resort team members across the country and it doesn’t stop at the end of my resort’s property line, it’s part of who we are as a company."

Team members at our Oak N' Spruce Reosrt generously donated their time to make a positive impact in their community. They cooked and served 30 dinners to the local community at Lee's Congregational Church. 🧡
