💫Wonderful day to complete some research and development at Walt Disney World. 💫

Started with visiting some of my favorite friends at breakfast, then used the skyliner to commute to Epcot where I enjoyed rides and the Food and Wine Festival, then on to the Magic Kingdom just in time for the Festival of Fantasy parade and Dole Whip!

I‘m at Disney World preparing for some days of training with fellow travel agents!

My home away from home the last few nights has been this magnificent resort! Port Orleans Riverside is a gem and has been the perfect escape for an adult only weekend. (Yes, you can come to Disney World without kids, but please don’t tell mine! 😂😬💫) Benoits for breakfast, water taxi to Disney Springs for retail therapy and fine dining, a fishing hole, a quiet pool, a show by Yeahaa Bob at the River Roost, and an amazing walking/jogging trail.

Can’t wait to continue to increase my Disney knowledge this week and share it with you! Until then….I’ll be enjoying a few more hours of R&R poolside and pricing future trips for clients. If you want to be added to my list, shoot me a message!

Day 6….not too many pictures as we tried to soak up every last moment of Disney magic aboard the Dream. A few last moments on the balcony, 7am breakfast with our wonderful wait staff (the kids are going to miss that service at home), and a last circle around the ship before disembarking in Miami. Disney made the process super easy and efficient. We were able to disembark quickly, grabbed our bags, and made it through customs in about 20 minutes! We enjoyed one last day in Miami before boarding our late flight home! We are already planning our next cruise adventure. See you real soon Mickey!!

Day 5 watched the sunrise from the verandah, was amazed by the captains parallel parking skills as he docked us at Disney’s own private island, Castaway Cay! Then we, grabbed breakfast at Cabana’s before walking ashore where we were greeted by Captain Jack Sparrow and Goofy! We explored every inch of the island. The kids loved Pelican Plunge (that slide has some power) and the ropes course. The BBQ buffet on the island was complete with cookies, brownies, and ice cream! I even found some time to slip away to the quiet beach and found a hammock that was calling my name! After a long day in the sun, we had a wonderful meal that energized us and we enjoyed Disney’s Broadway caliber show Believe before returning to our stateroom to find our final towel creation. Did I mention how comfortable the beds aboard the ship were??? This is the vacation you need if you are looking to explore and rest in luxury!!

Day 4…another marvelous day at sea. Woke up early to walk some laps around the ship, then utilized those burned calories with a seated breakfast 😋, more time at the pool, some time in the sports simulator and playing basketball on the top deck, lunch pool side, watched the new Lightyear movie, relaxed on the verandah before dinner, was blessed with the center table at the Royal Palace for dinner right below the most beautiful chandelier, and then treated my princess to some pampering time at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, before the live Beauty and the Beast production aboard the ship. As always, the show was amazing! I’m still singing those show tunes in my head!

Day 3 enjoyed a quiet sunrise on the balcony, delicious buffet breakfast at Cabana’s to fuel us for a day of adventure in the Cayman Islands, tendered to shore, took a historical tour of the island which included time to see dolphins and turtles and spent some time at seven mile beach (add this to your bucket list if you have never been…BEAUTIFUL water), shopped a bit, boarded the ship in true Disney style with cold fruit infuzed water and cool cloths, arrived in time for a delicious meal at Enchanted Garden, found another towel animal with chocolate and enjoyed a good nights rest after a jam packed day of fun!

Day 2 started with a Royal princess gathering in the main lobby with a magnificent chandelier, then several hours pool side enjoying the slide, AquaDuck, and Nemo’s Reef splash pad, ice cream (did I mention there is an endless supply aboard the ship), movies on the funnel vision at the pool, then pirate night themed meal at the Enchanted Garden, pictures with some favorite pirate friends, a pirate show, fireworks at sea, a pirate buffet, and another special towel character and chocolate coins before bed!

What a wonderful week aboard the Disney Dream! Our first day was full of excitement as we boarded the ship in Miami, were welcomed aboard by Captain Mickey, explored the kids areas, got our first glimpse at our verandah stateroom (for those who have never cruised with Disney Cruise Line before the split bathroom is AMAZING!), rode the AquaDuck for the first time, took part in the Sail Away Party, started the wave with Crush and consumed some scrumptious food during dinner at Animator’s Palate, and found a fun towel creature in our room with sweet dreams chocolate before bed. Have you heard the news.....it's time to hug your favorite characters!

The official statement from Disney today:
"As early as April 18, we will start reintroducing traditional character greetings at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, as well as aboard Disney Cruise Line and at Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Very soon, Guests will once again be able to hug Mickey Mouse, get an autography from Mulan, and share a laugh with Goofy. We know many of you have missed these special moments, and your Disney character friends have missed you, too! During the past two years, we've taken a very gradual, intentional approach to health and safety protocols. Recent trends and guidance have provided opportunities for us to bring back some of our most beloved magic, like character greetings and dining experiences. While not all locations will be available immediately, we anticipate reopening in phases throughout spring and early summer."

Walt Disney World and Disneyland policy update, July 28th, 2021:

"We are adapting our health and safety guidelines based on guidance from health and government officials, and will require Cast Members and Guests ages 2 and up, to wear face coverings in all indoor locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort beginning Friday, July 30, regardless of vaccination status. At Walt Disney World Resort, this includes upon entering and throughout all attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles, including shuttles, buses, monorails and at Disney Skyliner."

What a wonderful way to end vacation! Staying on property at Universal allowed us to enter the parks an hour early this morning. We completed seven rides, saw multiple characters, watched two characters travel through the park, grabbed a quick “lunch” (it’s vacation and okay to indulge in ice cream for lunch) at Toothsome’s Chocolate Emporium, bused back to the resort for a final hour long swim, and then had personal transportation back to the airport. Pro tip for traveling with three kiddos...wear them out prior to the flight. 😂 I enjoyed a quiet flight with a movie of my choice!

Another beautiful day in Florida. Today we enjoyed a morning at the Hilton pool, had lunch and did a little shopping at Disney Springs, then changed locations for the remainder of our vacation. I’ve checked in to Cabana Bay, enjoyed the water slide and lazy river, and now am headed to the parks for a final hour of fun in this beautiful weather.
