OBX Multihull Sail Fest, Presented by the Outer Banks Sailing Association is up on Regatta Network! Come Join us in September for a fun and fast regatta. Practice day as well as two days of racing. New venue this year. We are going to be at the Visit The Outer Banks Event Site in Nags Head NC and sailing on the Roanoke Sound between Jockeys Ridge, Shallowbag Bay and Banana Island. Great area to sail, flat and fast.

Our week of Adventure Sailing Camp finished up this afternoon. Campers and staff are tired after all the fun sailing we had this week. We had everything from zero wind to 17 kts. Super fun on our Argo Sport Topaz Sailboats by Topper Sailboats and our Melges Performance Sailboats M15 Melges 15 Class Sailboats. Very well matched. Sailors had a ton of fun with both. Thank you East Coast Sailboats, Inc for the lease of the boats this week.

It is that time of the year that we are getting ready for our summer season. Assembling boats for camps, life jackets , water gun procurement, staff training, boat set up and getting Surfer Girl to the Currituck Sound for the summer charter season. It is one of the few times we can have friends and family on board for a trip. This year we are blessed to have three generations on board for the trip from Deltaville, VA to the Duck, in the Currituck Sound of NC. We will spend 3 days on board making out way down making good memories along the way.

Our sailing season will start May 18th, 2023. We are in the process of getting Surfer Girl ready for our guests to come on board. We did a bit of maintenance; new bottom paint, trampolines and new engines. we are out on a test sail and breaking in the new engines this afternoon. Great day to be on the water with Capitan Mike from East Coast Sailboats, Inc on the Chesapeake Bay, Deltaville, VA. Over the next couple days we will take a trip down the bay and into the ICW to head to Nor'Banks Sailing & Watersports in Duck, NC.

It is time to start working on our girls. Miss Daisy is getting a new barrier coat (3) and will have new bottom paint by the end of the week at East Coast Sailboats, Inc. It is a tough job but someone has to do it! Surfer Girl is next.

Milestone day today! Engines are back on and Surfer Girl is getting ready for this summer- Polish, wax, engine refurbishing, new jib, new bridge deck cushions and new window coverings. We have had a lot of people reach out to us about cruises. Sorry to say, we are closed for the season and will reopen April of 2022 with limited trips in the afternoon.
