Let's talk Pixar Place!

This gem is located at Disneyland Resort and has the cutest themeing! Pixar fans will adore the touches throughout the resort, down to the smallest detail. I love that it has an exclusive entrance to California Adventure that allows you to enter near the Pixar Pier area of the park (how fitting 😉). Rooms are spacious and perfect for families!

This resort should be on every Pixar fan's must do list!

Magical Adventures by Disney Costa Rica Day 8!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Most of our fellow travelers flew home on day 8, but we stayed one more night. I love staying an extra night because it gives us time to relax and enjoy the quiet before heading home.

On day 8 we rented a cabana and relaxed by the pool all day. The cabana rental here was very affordable and included a treat each hour - fruits, smoothies, and a couple adult beverages. We also had a mini-fridge with water, sodas, and some beers. It was a great way to wrap up our adventure filled vacation.

We also enjoyed dinner by the pool before heading back to pack. Day 9 (today) is flying home after breakfast. I’m going to miss rice and beans for breakfast, along with fresh made corn tortillas 😉

Magical Adventures by Disney Costa Rica Vacation Day 7!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
We had a great day out on the water! Our group had a private catamaran cruise to a lovely cove off of the Pacific Ocean. There were lots of flips and dives from the boat, sliding off the boat, snorkeling, exploring the beach, and drinks. It was a fun and relaxing way to start wrapping up our adventure in Costa Rica.

The afternoon was on our own. We enjoyed lunch by the pool and a trip to the spa.

Before dinner we had a surprise visit from some traditional dancers and musicians. It was a fun way to set the tone for our last night together. We then had a private dinner reception with yummy foods followed by a video recap of our time in Costa Rica. If you are in our private client group head over to watch the video.

It was hard to say goodbye to everyone. You really become a family along the journey!

We have an extra day, so we are renting a cabana by the pool and plan to relax before heading home.

Magical Adventures by Disney Costa Rica Vacation Day 6!

Sorry I didn’t post last night, we turned in early. Yesterday we moved from the volcano to the beach! Our day started with a stop at the Chocolate Rainforest to learn about the chocolate making process. It was fun, educational, and yummy.

Then we look our road trip around Lake Arenal and down to the beach. We stopped for smoothies and then for lunch.

Once we arrived at the resort, El Mangroove Hotel, we were able to relax by the pool before dinner. This resort is very beautiful!

Today we are heading out for a catamaran cruise and snorkeling.

Magical Adventures by Disney Costa Rica Day 5!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Today was zip-line day! The guides were great! I did the first run and decided zip-lining was not for me today. A guide offered to go tandem with me the entire way - super sweet. My husband went and he had a great time!

Then we went shopping and had lunch in La Fortuna. Our Adventure Guides gave us lots of suggestions and tips. Our meal was fabulous! We did some shopping at the grocery store for coffee and treats. Then stopped by Pops for frozen cappuccino. Then walked through the town park and ended at the Catholic church.

After a rest we went to a local hot springs. So beautiful and relaxing! We also had a private dinner there and celebrated birthdays (this is a birthday celebration trip for me 😉)

Tomorrow we head to a chocolate plantation to learn about making chocolate. Then we head to our final resort (it’s on the beach 🎉).

Magical Adventures by Disney Costa Rica Vacation Day 4!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Today we took a jungle cruise! We had dreams of seeing all three types of monkeys that live along the river, sloths, crocodiles, birds, and more. The river didn’t disappoint us! We saw everything on our list, and the monkeys put on several shows for us.

After the cruise we were treated to lunch before heading back to our resort. Along the way they made a surprise stop where we learned how to process sugar cane the traditional way.

Before dinner we were treated to a ceviche making session and a craft beer demonstration. I learned that I like ceviche 😉

Dinner was on our own at one of the restaurants at our resort. We chose the restaurant by the pool and were treated to a beautiful lightning storm behind the volcano. Our meal was a Costa Rican BBQ which was fantastic!

Tomorrow we will be zip-lining, exploring a nearby town, and closing out the day at a local hot spring.

Magical Adventures by Disney Costa Rica Vacation Day 3!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
It’s white water rafting day! On our way down the river we saw monkeys, an iguana, and various birds. I think I enjoyed watching the monkeys the most!

After rafting we enjoyed a yummy lunch and then searched for frogs. We saw a beautiful red one and then a bright green one.

We moved hotels and are staying on the side of the Arenal volcano. The view from our room is amazing! This resort only has 48 guest rooms and it’s very peaceful. We will be here for three nights before moving to a beach resort.

During dinner we were treated to some entertainment from some singers and dancers. It was a fun way to end the evening.

Tomorrow we are going on a real life Jungle Cruise! Did I mention one of our Adventure Guides used to be a skipper for the Jungle Cruise in Disneyland? Though tomorrow we are trying to avoid seeing the backside of water on this cruise 😉

Magical Adventures by Disney Costa Rica Vacation Day 2!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
This morning we had breakfast in the Executive Lounge. They had several hot items, pastries, fruit, and an omelette station. It was a great option for breakfast.

Then we met with our Adventure Guides to go over allergies, plans for white water rafting tomorrow, and other housekeeping items. We also received our first Adventures by Disney pin for this adventure.

Then we went on the history of the hotel tour. Our guide, Caleb was fantastic! The tour ended with a cup of coffee with new friends.

Then we hopped in an Uber to explore a shopping mall and have a delicious lunch. Lunch was amazing!

We came back to the resort and had dinner with our tour group. We learned about the guests on our tour, our Adventure Guides, and the details on where we are heading tomorrow.

We have an early morning so turning in shortly. ✨

Magical Adventures by Disney Costa Rica Vacation Day 1!
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
We flew in a day early to get settled and to build in a buffer just in case we hit flight delays. We flew over Cancun and Cozumel on our way to Costa Rica. It was a beautiful flight!

It’s a small airport, so Customs was easy and our porter was waiting with our luggage when we finished going through Customs. We had private transfers to our resort, Costa Rica Marriott Hacienda Belen.

The resort is beautiful and on a coffee plantation. Our room was upgraded (due to our Marriott status) to a one bedroom suite overlooking the driving range. The staff have been so friendly and assisting with things we didn’t even know we needed/wanted - very intuitive!

After exploring the resort we stopped at Bar 10 for drinks and snacks. Great fresh food offerings! Then we had dinner at Isabella’s Steakhouse. They have a special menu on Fridays called rodizios, which is similar to a Brazilian steakhouse.

Tomorrow we are going to explore on our own away from the resort. Then we will meet up with the tour group and our Adventure Guides for dinner.

I am out of the office today through Sunday, September 8th to celebrate my birthday with Adventures by Disney in Costa Rica 🎉 I’m so excited to share our journey with you!

Our first day will be flying in a day early and checking out our resort before the joining our tour tomorrow. We may venture off to check out the city tonight for dinner. Oh! Our first resort is on a coffee plantation!

💦 This attraction is as interactive as it is educational. Each station teaches about different types of water then you get to have the fun! Throughout your journey, look into the rocks for characters from the movie!

At night, this is also an excellent place to relax. It’s super calming and visually stunning. I could have stood there all night. 💚
