CAT LADY'S HOUSE - A Ghost Story - Cambridge, MD
With all the talk of "Cat Ladies" in the news .... and being a cat lady myself, I'm sharing a ghost story from our Cambridge tour about an old lady and her cat.
An elderly lady lived in this big house on High Street. Her cat was her closest and only companion, and she never let it go outside. The lady's grown children talked about how their mother had this beautiful parlor in the house that she kept immaculately clean. But when friends and family were invited in, the lady wouldn't allow anyone to enter the parlor. It was never used.
One day the neighbors saw the old lady's cat outside roaming around the yard. They became concerned knowing the woman never let him out. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the poor old woman had fallen down her stairs and without being able to get help, she passed away where she fell. No one knows how the cat got out as all the doors were locked. But he was the alarm that initiated the welfare check on the old woman.
A viewing was held at the house before the funeral. Guess where they laid her out? Yes... the unused parlor. When the funeral director arrived the next day to collect the body, the door to the parlor was locked. They had to break the lock to get in, and when they entered they found the cat and the key to the parlor right beside the body of the old woman.
Today the house has been converted to apartments. When this story was posted a few years ago on Facebook, the owner of the house (who lived on the top floor) wrote in the comments...
"I wondered why I'm always seeing a cat out of the corner of my eye in this house."

We went to the Pocomoke City Ghost Walk. Our guide was very knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. The walk through the forest was fun and our guide had a hobby of investigating the paranormal so that made it more interesting, especially when he let us use the electromagnetic field indicators to sense otherwordly presences. It was an interesting way to spend an evening. Try it, you'll like it!

ST MICHAELS GHOST TOUR.
Such a fun group tonight in steamy, humid Saint Michaels tonight. A super fun group. We had a “birthday girl” and a few young people.
Muskrat Mary did not disappoint. Right on cue - the EMF detector (held by guest, Sarah) went crazy as soon as we entered Muskrat Park. Shes a very dependable spirit.
