If you are going to be at the beach or in the ocean, it is best to wear a hat and long sleeve rash guard to protect from the sun. If you are going to wear sunscreen, please check that it is designated Reef Friendly or has no Oxybenzone in it. This is damaging to reefs and all the wildlife that occupy its habitat. Our family just got back from a really big road trip to see some of our favorite people.
It has been said before, but I will say it again- take the trip, make the memories. Suck up the car ride, give your kids the opportunity to learn to be good travelers, learn tricks for yourself to be a good traveler. See new places, find unexpected treasures, try new food, learn a new game, get outside. At the end of the day, the things your kids remember may not be the big things but the little ones. And they will remember all the time spent together.
