Being IN nature uncurated is transformative. This morning we saw a leapord and her cub then, as we relaxed in our personal pool, we had a rather large guest.

Visiting at this time has enabled us to see lots of animals and their young.

LOVE HOW ITALIANS MAKE THINGS WORK!

Yes... another mandatory evacuation has been called for our area of Sarasota due to a possible hurricane. Giuliano and I were scheduled to go to Italy on Wednesday. Through a LOT of back and forth with , we convinced them to allow us to leave from Miami a day earlier (even though Tampa airport had already stated they would close, the reservations agents said the flight was scheduled). In Italy, even though they might not have known about the impending Hurricane, they had no issue changing our reservations and rescheduling us. I LOVE how Italians make things work!

To all who are in the path of Milton, I wish as much ease and calmness as possible.

How do you feel about dining solo? In Japan, there is a special term, "ohitorisama" which honors the solo diner. Restaurants throughout the world are starting to cater to solo diners by creating special touches such as increasing counter seats or offering courses with smaller servings.

The world is slowly catching up to the increased interest in solo travel. At Gracious Getaways, we work to curate experiences for the solo traveler, so they won't be excpected to eat the entire pie alone, but will be given the "just right" amount of food at a fabulous location.
