Ornamental Plasterer/Model and Mold Maker
Manuel Palos, master craftsman, architectural sculptor and stone carver seeks an experienced and motivated plasterer and moldmaker to work with him on upcoming projects with the opportunity for a permanent position. We specialize in architectural design, stone carving, design and sculpture and also in the production of architectural elements such as columns, arches, pediments, mouldings, balustrades, and cornices in a variety of cast materials for new construction or to repair/replace existing pieces projects, as well as smaller projects such as custom hand-carved fountains, fireplace surrounds, tables and decorative pieces. Desired Qualifications
• relevant experience with ornamental plastering, casting, and mold making.
• Exceptional skill with an angle grinder--grinding, cutting, sanding, finishing, etc
• Fine finishing skills
• Comprehension of shop drawings and basic layout principles
• Understanding of basic "shop engineering" principles--ability to design and fabricate structural elements on spec
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Good written and verbal communication skills
