Who’s ready for Louisiana this fall?!
We are looking for qualified people with a passion for hunting and fishing to work part-time (contractor) as hunting guides for Whitetails, and other Missouri small game. Guiding experience is preferred but not required as long as your hunting/fishing knowledge is adequate.
This is a temporary seasonal position that will run from August 1st - December 18th 2023. Position can be extended if additional work is required. Call us at 573-590-1572 for additional information or email a resume to [email protected]
Food, Lodging, Pay, & Tips from guests are included in this position. You must be able to hike several miles and lift 50 lbs. These will be primarily archery/crossbow hunts with some firearm hunts included, so archery hunting knowledge is preferred but not required. CPR First/aid is required but certification can be offered after employment
As a hunting guide, you will be working with all different types of people and therefore must be personable, outgoing, and communicate well. This job requires a self motivated individual, who thrives in a team environment and enjoys living in a beautiful outdoor setting. Applicants must be able to speak English.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
* Greets guests in a professional and friendly manner.
* Scouting for Whitetail sign & hunting locations
*Guiding Guests & Customer Service
*Assist hunters and non-hunters as assigned and insure hunter safety at all times.
*Assure wildlife management practices are followed under the direction of the Ranch Manager and/or Director of Operations.
*Operation of ATV, pickup truck, fishing boat, leaf blower, power washer, zeroing in rifle, archery & crossbow equipment
*Sanitation maintenance.
*Fire pit preparation.
*Five stand operations and firearm cleaning and maintenance.
*Habitat Management duties including but not limited to prescribed burning, planting & TSI
*Cleaning, transporting, & processing all game animals and fish.
*Ranch & Lodge maintenance including roads, brush, blinds, grounds keeping, etc.
*Seasonal gardening harvest and wild edible foraging of local fare for lodge.
*Repairs & maintenance of hunting equipment.
*Wildlife management
* Additional duties as assigned and required
Qualifications:
CPR/First Aid Certification
Hunter Safety Course
Customer Service Skills
Hunting Knowledge is required for this position.
Degrees in biology, conservation, or a related field are a bonus but not required
