**TRAVEL NEWS ALERT**

Denver is set to receive its first-ever nonstop flights to Rome in 2025, offering travelers an exciting new way to explore the "Eternal City." Starting May 1, 2025, United Airlines will launch a seasonal nonstop route from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Rome, bringing Italy’s rich history, stunning architecture, and world-renowned cuisine closer than ever.

The new daily service will be operated on United’s state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, providing passengers with a comfortable and modern travel experience. The route will run through September 24, 2025, giving travelers nearly five months to take advantage of this direct connection to one of Europe’s most iconic cities.

This is an important reminder that from 8th January 2025, US, Canada, and other passport holders will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to visit or transit through the United Kingdom.


~USA and Canadian citizens can now submit an ETA application online or the fastest way to apply is using the UK ETA App.
~Application process requires travelers to provide contact and passport details, answer a few questions and upload a recent passport-size photo.
~Obtaining an ETA can take up to three business days.
~Once the application is approved, travelers receive their ETA confirmation electronically.
~ETA is electronically linked to the passport and valid for up to 2 years for multiple entries. If travelers receive a new passport, they must apply for a new ETA.
~Everyone travelling needs to get an ETA, including children and infants.

Starting January 8 2025, travelers from the U.S. and other countries must obtain an electronic travel authorization (ETA) before visiting the U.K. (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland). This system requires visitors, including those from visa-exempt nations like the United States, to secure travel authorization before arriving. You can find the full list of countries that will require an ETA when entering the U.K. on the U.K. government’s ETA information page.

As international air travel demand continues to soar, there's a notable shift in the rankings of the world's busiest airports. The latest report from Airports Council International (ACI) World reveals the top 10 busiest airports worldwide for 2023. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport retains its leading position, with Dubai International Airport making its debut in second place, surpassing Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, which now ranks third.

Among the top 10 airports for total passenger traffic, five are located in the United States.

Tokyo Haneda experiences the most significant advancement in the rankings, jumping from 16th place in 2022 to the 5th position in 2023, while Denver (DIA) claims the 6th spot.

My name is Eby Johnson. I have owned and operated a boutique travel agency in Lakewood, Colorado since 2001. I have been a Certified Travel Consultant since 1993 and professionally affiliated with IATAN, ASTA & CLIA. Prior to starting my company, I worked for United Airlines, CUC Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Cendant Travel handling several large corporate accounts as well as a solid leisure travel client base. These 25+ years of service has enabled me to work with virtually every aspect of an ever changing travel industry. My passion for this business is as strong as ever.
