TMG was approached by Loudoun County Public Schools to assist with cost analysis of the acquisition of modular classrooms. The client requested that TMG investigate the cost and feasibility of moving a 3600 SF 4 classroom modular trailer from John Champe High School to Goshen Post Elementary School. The only other option being to purchase a whole new modular classroom. The Regional Leesburg Team worked with the owner and his engineers to scope out the project and stay within the JOC contract limit and school budget.
The project, led by TMG’s Superintendent Chris Pilarcik and valued at $495,000, required building movers, utilities and civil/structural elements. The trailer, which was integrated to the school’s communications and security system, needed to be disconnected and reprogrammed. 64 footers needed to be constructed for the final location. The trailer’s route for the move was tediously coordinated, routed, and cleared by Benjamin Nickey, Construction Engineer II. Once set, the trailer needed to be tied into Goshen Post Elementary’s infrastructure including the communication, data and security/access.
The modular classrooms were moved using 6 hydraulic dollies controlled remotely. The dollies traveled at a maximum speed of 2 mph maneuvering through parking lots, side roads, multi-use fields and over curbs, bollards, fire hydrants and other obstacles. On certain areas of the route, the building was maneuvered with a clearance of only 6” on either side.

Air France First Class Lounge Opening at Dulles International Airport
On May 15, 2019 TMG attended the official opening of the Air France First Class Lounge at Dulles International Airport. TMG was proud to serve as the project’s General Contractor on this 11,500 SF renovation. The project included a complete remodel of their existing lounge as well as a second level expansion with elevator. This elegant lounge features lush seating with European fabrics, high end millwork, and custom glasswork for each of the two bars.
