That's a wrap for our French adventure! We walked and tasted our way through the magical city of Bordeaux, sampled the sparkling wines in the historic village of Saint-Emilion, and braved the rain to sample the oysters of Arcachon Bay. Thank you to all of our guests who joined us to learn about the food and wine of this beautiful region of France. And a special thank you to Chef Kevin Bechtel who helped choose the amazing restaurants, plus he already knew the difference between Right and Left Bank wines!

Here's a mid-tour check in with images from the beautiful city of Bordeaux. We've had a walking tasting, history tour, wine education and a blending class, a market visit and cooking class, plus a visit to the wine caves in the beautiful village of Saint Emilion. And we still have two days to go!

It's impossible to sum up our magical time in Emilia Romanga. But a good start is with the people. We laughed, bonded, walked, ate, and learned! And the people we met and learned from won't be soon forgotten. Cooks, wine makers, truffle hunters, cheese makers, and most memorable of all, our our amazing guide Fabio! .

Goodbye Canada!

First full day of our Vancouver tour finished! We started with a tour of Stanley Park & the Capilano suspension bridge. Finished off the evening with a walking food tour of Gastown with . Started with a raspberry sour at with a mushroom cabbage roll and potato and dill piergois! Our second stop on the tour was at for a chilled mint and pea soup and truffle pommes dauphine. We finished strong at with the best pea based cheese and hazlenut pizza and in house made tiramisu!

The canelé, a classic Bordeaux sweet is a rich pastry flavored with rum and vanilla. Bordeaux winemakers used egg whites to clarify wine and would often give the excess egg yolks to nuns to make these specialty pastries.
