Sometimes you can have the best, most planned out itinerary, and things still can go wrong with travel. I woke up this morning to a notice that my flight home had been canceled….so now I’m pivoting to a different airline and utilizing my travel insurance policy (always a must!). Still hoping to make it home to my family tonight!!

Today’s adventure in Regensburg was all about history, beer, and Bavarian flavors!

🍺 Brewery Tour & Beer Tasting – Tried three authentic Bavarian brews - a lager, a witbier, and a stout!

🌭 A Taste of Tradition – Enjoyed a legendary sausage sandwich from Germany’s oldest sausage maker—and yes, it was delicious!

🏰 Exploring Regensburg – A walking tour through the city’s charming streets, full of history and culture.

🚢 Back on the ship, we set sail for our final stop in Vilshofen! The views have been incredible!

Bavaria never disappoints! Prost to good beer, good food, and unforgettable experiences! 🍻

🍂🏰 Hiked, Sailed & Celebrated! 🍻🚢

What an incredible journey today!

✅ I chose an excursion that included hiking from Passau to the city’s castle – stunning views of the town and the three rivers that meet!
✅ Explored Passau with our amazing local guide, including the bishop’s palace, city hall, and beautiful St. Stephen’s cathedral.
✅ Sailed to Vilshofen - the weather was perfect for enjoying some relaxing time on the sun deck!
✅ Celebrated Oktoberfest in style – Authentic Bavarian fun with amazing music, pretzels, and, of course, local beer!

An unforgettable experience combining adventure, culture, and celebration. Prost! 🍺🎉

Spent the day wandering the cobblestone streets of Český Krumlov, and it truly feels like stepping into a storybook! 🏰 The medieval charm, stunning castle views, and the winding Vltava River make this place unforgettable.

Stopped for a delicious riverside lunch, enjoying traditional Czech flavors while soaking in the peaceful scenery. 🍽️🌊 Nothing beats a meal in the sunshine with a view!

Also took some time to dive into the rich history and culture of the Czech Republic—so much to learn beyond the breathtaking sights. From medieval legends to modern traditions, this country is full of surprises!

This was an amazing stop on my Danube River cruise - highly recommend!!

It’s been a full but fascinsting day! We cruised into Weisenkirchen after breakfast, then drove to the charming fairy tale town of Durnstein, famous for its white wine and apricots!

We headed back to the ship for lunch and a relaxing cruise to this afternoon’s stop in Grein. We visited an amazing castle from 500 years ago, complete with a mosaic room, a chapel, and views of the Danube.

Both of our local experts today were full of so much knowledge, sharing insights and their own personal stories. ❤️

What’s different between an ocean cruise and a river cruise?!?

This morning, we docked in Bratislava. I walked off the ship and directly into the old town!! No shuttles needed - our tour guide met us right by the ship and escorted us immediately on a walking tour of this interesting and unique city!

I really enjoyed learning more about “Coronation City” , visiting the beautiful castle, and breathing in some fresh air on our hike today!! (It even snowed a bit!!!)

Today we finished up our time at the ASTA River Cruise Expo - what an incredible week of learning and time with colleagues. Now it’s time to move on to the next part of the journey with a Danube River cruise!

I enjoyed my stay on Viking last week while we were docked in Vienna, but now I’m excited to experience AmaWaterways! Stay tuned for more sights and experiences to come!

🚐 After boarding a comfortable bus, our guide provided so much history about the city on a panoramic tour.

🍰 We then stopped at Vollpension, an inter-generational cafe that brings together people of all ages to enjoy delicious bites in granny’s living room!

🌳 We ended our time with a walking tour - learning about the people, buildings, and history found in this beautiful city!!

✨An unforgettable evening in Vienna!

A huge thank you to ALG Vacations for hosting me for such a special private dinner at 12 Apostles Cellar - one of Vienna‘s most unique dining experiences. Nestled beneath the city, this historic wine cellar dates back to the 18th century and is full of old-world charm with vaulted ceilings, candlelight ambiance, and festive entertainment.

This was a perfect way to connect with fellow travel professionals and soak in the magic of Vienna. So grateful for the opportunity to experience this hidden gem!!

Today we had the opportunity to tour the world’s largest river cruise ship, the AmaMagna!! What a beautiful ship - spacious, luxurious staterooms, well-thought out spaces like a pickleball court, and of course delicious onboard restaurants and lounges! We had a tour from the captain, himself!
