Want to avoid long lines like this? Try rope dropping. Getting to the park a little before it opens keep you from waiting for must- do attractions. We rope dropped Animal Kingdom yesterday at 7:30 and only waited for 45 minutes. The same attraction at 8:30 had a 90 minute wait. Rope dropping pays off!

Without a doubt, the best character greeting in Animal Kingdom! #kevin #animalkingdom

I highly recommend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party if you’re visiting during the fall months. Seeing the Sanderson sisters live is the best!

A tip for parents traveling to Disney. If you see a playground, stop what you’re doing and let your kids run around for a minute. It will be tempting to keep going but let the kids have a few minutes of unstructured play. My favorites are the Boneyard in Animal Kingdom, the Dumbo playground in Magic Kingdom, and this one outside the Creations shop at Epcot.

I love the free activities available at some of the Disney parks. My favorites are the Wilderness Explorers at Animal Kingdom and the Kidcot Fun Stops in EPCOT. What’s even better is that these activities encourage kiddos to learn!
