5 INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT LISBON, PORTUGAL:

1. Lisbon is said to be the oldest city in Western Europe, possibly predating Rome, Paris and London

2. Graffiti is considered to be an art form - there are even graffiti and street art tours you can take (cool, right?)

3. Baixa, a neighborhood in downtown Lisbon, is the main shopping and banking district. Put the debit/credit card down....slowly...now 🤣🤣🤣

4. Lisbon has one of the mildest weather patterns in Europe. It's primarily sunny throughout the year

5. Two of the most popular tourist attractions are the Ascensor de Santa Justa (4th photo) that takes riders from Baixa to Chiado, which is a district about 150 ft higher, and the trams (3rd photo), which will take you around the city, and were originally called Americanos (go figure 🤷‍♀️)

1. Martinique is the 3rd largest island in the Lesser Antilles, behind Trinidad and Guadeloupe.

2. Martinique is considered to be an Overseas Department of France and French is the primary language spoken there.

3. The off-peak time of the year to visit is in May and June. The peak time of the year is between December and April due to the island's Carnival, which runs Lent to Easter.

4. The Euro is the currency of the island, so check out the exchange rates and be prepared💶

5. There are several black sand beaches on the island due to Montagne Pelee, an active volcano (don't worry, it's been dormant since 1932🌋)

1. Kuala Lumpur is the capital and the largest city in Malaysia.

2. A popular tourist destination is the Batu Caves. They are limestone caves that have temples built into them. There's also a fascinating hold statue at the entrance to the caves.

3. Another tourist destination is the Petronas Towers. They were the tallest twin towers in the world until 2004. There is also a two level bridge between the two towers on the 41st and 42nd floors. Whew, that's high 😱

4. Love to shop? Kuala Lumpur has about 70 shopping malls, including one that's one of the largest in the world 💰💰💰

5. The palace of the King of Malaysia, Istara Negara, is located in Kuala Lumpur and is open to tourists.
