Dear Fredericksburg,

I don’t think I’ve ever waved a lit up wand with a Santa blinking in my life. Not waved it an entire hour watching the longest and most beautiful parade down my hallmark Texas towns Main Street. Thank you H‑E‑B for the gift of the wand and for sponsoring the best parade I’ve ever witnessed.

I’m so thankful to have friends to enjoy it with. To see smiles, laughter and just feel a spirit of community.

My favorite was cousin Eddie - “Clark the …….. full” I said as I laughed as they drove by. The toilets were disguised as reindeer. Or the truck made to look like a reindeer…I loved that one too.

The entire Main Street was vibrant, alive, a heartbeat so many communities and people have forgotten. But not here.

The weather was perfect for my first ever Light the Night parade in my new hometown. The temperature said 60 but it sure felt like a nice 75. 100 years this town has been here. With a heartbeat like this it will be here 100 more.

Sign me up for next year, and every year after because man, what a night, laughing, waving and grinning. I wasn’t born in Texas but I sure got here as soon as I could! ❤️FBGTX ❤️ Home ❤️

I don’t want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need…I found it on Main Street in Fredericksburg, TX. I hope you find your holiday magic too!

Laika Cheesecakes gained much press and attention as its Ukrainian owners hosted a fundraiser taking donations and selling cheesecakes over a weekend with ALL proceeds and not just profits going to assist Ukrainian forces in the defense of their people.
