That thing that isn’t talked about - the family dynamics and sadness that is sometimes faced through the course of wedding planning. It could be divorce, estrangement, grief, loss - in this case, our gorgeous bride’s Mom was dying of early onset Alzheimer’s and we set upon a mutual goal of making this day as beautiful as possible. A wedding is fragile and that’s what’s so great about it. There is a lot of healing to be had! Yesterday, all the flowers from the wedding were delivered to LA and we surrounded that beautiful woman with the love of the day. Today they renewed their vows in front of her. She may not have known what was happening, but we do and we always will. Grateful for the job that allows us to guide people through the highs and the lows. Congratulations, Jess and John. So yesterday was amazing. We were invited to dinner by an LA caterer who, in advance, asked us about our most memorable food from our childhood. When we arrived, course 5 of 8 was just that - different and specially prepared for each person at the table. They recreated B's Grandmother's pancakes and I had Mexican street food. As we left, we were given a card and bottle of champagne to congratulate us on our rebrand. I can't tell you how welcomed we've been in our new community. Just incredible! What I love about food and hospitality is that there's an opportunity to make people feel special. @roomforty @alyssaontherun @pharmacie_ @thefighouse you really made us feel special last night.
