Here they are. Our top posts of 2024! Next up: via | COSTA RICAN UNICORN 🦄
An encounter that I’ll never forget. We were waiting for hours without luck, and the reports and the local guide told us that was where it had appeared in previous days. And suddenly it happened, we could see the Chestnut-billed Toucan (Ramphastos ambiguus) with a genetic condition called leucism that gives it its strange coloration. This beauty was sighted in Guápiles in 2019 and I had the opportunity to see and photograph it on a very humid and hot morning in the tropics. It was all worth it!

Un encuentro que nunca olvidaré. Estuvimos esperando horas sin suerte, los reportes y el guía local nos indicaba que ahí era donde estaba aparenciendo en días previos. Y de un pronto a otro ocurrió, pudimos ver al Tucán Pico Castaño (Ramphastos ambiguus) con una condición genética llamada leucismo que le da su coloración extraña. Esta guapura estuvo apareciendo en Guápiles en 2019 y tuve la oportunidad de verlo y fotografiarlo una muy húmeda y caliente mañana en el trópico. ¡Todo valió la pena!

“Para nuestros amig@s fuera de , este es otro lugar que les recomendamos visitar, esta es la playa pública de afuera del Parque Nacional.
Por qué la recomendamos? Porque el paisaje es lindo, hay mucha fauna y se van a topar muchos animales de frente, se pueden practicar deportes acuáticos, los atardeceres son hermosos, la playa es grande y hay partes más tranquilas que otras para bañarse, y si no son de pagar por una sombrilla de playa pueden encontrar sombras bajo una palmera 🌴”
