Our last day in DC.
Finally made it to the National Zoo. Loved the baby panda playing with her mom.
Spent more time exploring the mall. Saw the Capitol, Dorothy’s ruby slippers and Abraham Lincoln’s top hat.
More scooter rides but still managed over 15,000 steps.
We are beat. Treated ourselves to a nice room service dinner and an early bedtime.
Heading home in the morning. It’s been fun DC!

DC day 3. Finally it warmed up!
Walked to National Geographic Musuem and saw the other side of the White House.
Rented scooters to see more of the Mall and other monuments.
Headed out on a water taxi to National Harbor in Maryland. The views and sunset from the Capital Wheel were amazing. Violet and Charlie were happy to find a candy store!!

DC day two.
And we thought we walked a lot in Disney!
Saw the White House. Walked more of the National Mall until the cold and wind forced us indoors. We all loved the “other” Air and Space museum. How cool is it to walk under space shuttle Discovery. Greg took the kids to lunch while I went to the Holocaust Musuem. What a moving experience.
Dinner at the Founding Farmers was delicious.

DC day 1.
We made it to DC. Yucky weather to walk around in but perfect to see the Museum of Natural History. Clear favorite of mine was seeing all the gems and jewelry.
Our hotel opened in 1818. We had fun exploring it although I haven’t stop hearing “where’s the pool ?”
Dinner was delicious at Cafe Du Park but nothing can beat ice cream in bed.
Looking forward to some better weather and more exploring when the sun comes up.

Kayaking(me), fishing(Greg) and lots of relaxing. The hotel cooked up the fish for us to try. Love Costa Rica!

Today was pretty amazing. Cultural immersion in Costa Rica…rainforest on top on a volcano, waterfalls, the bluest water I have ever seen, real Costa Rican coffee (that I got to grind myself), traditional casado and even a Sloth!

I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since I’ve been booking trips. The last year has been crazy but it’s so exciting that people are starting to travel again. The travel bug even got to me and a few weeks ago I booked my first trip for myself for later this year. I forgot how nice it feels to have a trip to look forward too.

As I’m sitting at my computer booking a few trips and making changes to others I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has reached out to me over the last few weeks. I appreciate your business and working with you all. It’s nice that the world seems to be getting back to some level of normalcy and people want to travel more.
