Butte County is the perfect adventure getaway.
So hereโs how to spend a great weekend exploring.
Day 1:

Start off renting a kayak from the Paradise Recreation and Park District and paddle Paradise Lake. The water is super clear and there are dogwood flowers lining the shore ๐ Or you can hike around the lake if you prefer to stay on land.

After a long day on the lake, stop at Peregrine point for a short walk to check out incredible sunset views looking over the Big Chico Creek Canyon
Day 2:
๐ I highly recommend stopping at Stoble Coffee because their avocado toast is delicious!
โ
Then head off to check out Butte Meadows, a high elevation pine environment surrounded by lakes, meadows filled with wildlife ๐ฅฐ and beautiful rivers.
๐๏ธ And the Cherry Hill campground has great flat campsites right along the river if youโre wanting to get out of town for a few days.

Or you wrap up your day with an easy hike to Monkey Face to check out wildflowers and a great sunset view!
