Here's the deal. You've all likely been hearing stories of summer travel woes and chaos and yes, stuff happens. Flights get delayed or cancelled, lines get long and patience gets short but here's some good news for you- A HELL OF A LOT IS ACTUALLY IN YOUR CONTROL so hope these things help and please don't make these worries a reason not to travel =)

1. Take the 1st flight out ALWAYS. I don't care if you have to get up at 3 am. How important is getting where you need to be vs a few hours of sleep? Morning flights tend to be more on time with less headache and you have more likelihood of getting on a flight that day since you'll already be at the airport.

2. Try NEVER to connect. It's a hassle all the way around. Sometimes it costs more for nonstop but the lack of headaches is worth it. If there's no other way, then leave yourself a ton of time in between. If you're connecting in Europe specifically, consider doing a stopover or at least 1 overnight and enhance your trip. Try moving through a few particular airports there right now and you'll know exactly what I mean.

3. CARRY ON. If you know me at all you know I never check luggage - if it's with you it can't get lost. Oh, don't know how? Then reach out to me and I'll tell you exactly how to do it =)

4 Join an airline loyalty program like YESTERDAY. The higher you are, the more priority you get with help should something go wrong. Stick with that alliance at all costs not only for things like priority boarding but when it really counts like getting you on a flight first before everyone else when changes happen.

5. Get lounge access. Why wait for hours searching for a charging port, a table and a decent cup of coffee when you can be comfortable? Better news, don't want to pay for it? That's fine, there are plenty of airline-aligned credit cards that provide it as a benefit.

6. Sit as close to the front as possible- not only for the mad dash to a connection (if you bypass point 2)- but say you're on board and the flight can no longer take off due to weather or an issue, you want to be one of the first ones off to get in that dreaded line to be taken care of.

19 years ago this week I started TRUMARKETING.

I started with one client my first mantra soon became "well, if I am handling one I can handle two, or three" which became lots of amazing hotels, airlines, DMCs and tourism boards that I've been so fortunate to work with.

What a wild ride in a beautiful industry that allows me to keep seeing the world and do fun things, amazing things, weird and ridiculous and sometimes tough things, to be creative and to thrive. And, like in the past few years, to challenge me ridiculously to keep me on my toes so I continue to evolve.

My second mantra was that this was to be always on my terms, never at the expense of my family or loved ones, but rather to enhance our lives collectively. It still is.

I will always love my job, even when it feels like it's not loving me back. In it for the long haul with everything I've got.
Next year's the big one...let's see where it all goes by then...

What a day yesterday. Back in March 2020, invited me to the launch class at the new studios. An hour later , the world fell apart. The only consistencies I really had in that time were him and my workouts. So, yesterday he did it again and Queen was in the house to guide the ship. It was such a fabulous celebration. She said something to the effect of what if something super difficult wound up turning out better than you could imagine. Pretty spot on :) Congratulations Peloton!
